Chapter 16: Shalour Struggles!

*Outside of Shalour City*

Nash, Carmin, and Buck stand at the entrance to Shalour City, the sun shining bright as they smile

Nash: Hello Shalour City! Hahahaha!

Riolu: Olu! Olu! Olu!

Buck: Someone's excited for their Gym battle.

Carmin: He's louder then usual.

Nash: Of course I'm excited and louder then usual! We're gonna get our third gym badge, and then a Mega Stone! Number one! That's our final stop!

Carmin: So where is the gym?

Buck: Right over there actually.

Buck says and points to the largest building in the city by the water

Nash: How do we get over there?

Carmin: There's no bridge or anything.

Buck: Well I've heard that in order to challenge the gym, you gotta wait till the tide goes down so the path is revealed.

Nash: That's gonna take forever! I want my gym battle and those stones!

Carmin: Be patient!

Carmin puts Nash in a headlock to keep him quiet

Buck: Okay Carmin. Take it easy.

Carmin lets go of Nash and he and Riolu glare at her

Nash: Not cool!

Carmin: Hmph. We might as well walk around the city to keep ourselves busy. Do some shopping too while we're at it.

Buck: Agreed. I'm pretty sure we're low on some supplies.

Nash: While you guys do that I'm gonna head to the Pokémon Center and do some training.

Nash starts running off and Riolu howls excitedly

Buck: I bet his father was like this every step of the way.

Carmin: Probably.

Buck and Carmin start walking together. Nash and Riolu look around the city and pass the Pokémon Center, not even noticing it, now running by some farm like houses and one of the Pokémon living there sends a Dark Pulse at the path infront of. Riolu growls at the now visible Zweilous that growls at them both

Nash: What the?

Zweilous: Zwrei!

Riolu: Olu!

Zweilous charges up another Dark Pulse from its mouths

Nash: Riolu use Vacuum Wave with both paws!

Riolu jumps up and throws the Vacuum Waves, Zweilous fires the two Dark Pulses and clashes with Vacuum Wave, making black smoke rise in the air, Carmin and Buck see it before entering a store

*With Buck and Carmin*

Carmin: Of course he started something.

Buck: I guess we'll do shopping later.

They start heading to where the smoke originated from

*Back with Nash and Riolu. Riolu lands on its feet and growls at Zweilous who growls back and smirks*

Nash: Man what is your deal?!

A tall girl runs over and stands between Riolu and Zweilous

???: That's enough! Both you stop it! Especially you, Zweilous.

Zweilous groans and takes a step back. Carmin and Buck arrive

Carmin: What did you do?!

Nash: Nothing! I didn't anything, her Zweilous attacked us out of no where!
