Chapter 39: Team Challenge Made! Team Winter Fang VS Club Luminous Part 1!

*At the Naranja Academy cafeteria, a few hours after last chapter*

Nash and Shun eat at their own table, their Pokémon sitting on the floor and eating from bowls of Pokémon food

Nash: These churros are really good!

Shun: No joke, this is some kinda Paldean specialty.

Everyone else in the cafeteria goes quiet and Nash and Shun look around

Shun: It just got really quiet.

Nash: Yeah.

An Aegislash floats over to their table and they all look at it

Shun: Aegislash?

Nash: You lost?

Aegislash swaps to sword mode and cuts their table in half, Nash and Shun jump away from it and their Pokémon growl at Aegislash

???: Now, now Aegislash that was very rude.

Everyone in the cafeteria look to the entrance of the cafeteria and see a boy with violet hair and red eyes wesring a tuxedo with an orange button up shirt under the suit jacet

Nash: And you are?

???: Allow me to introduce myself. I am Callum, the Captain of the Luminous Club. I am here to get an apology from the two of you for interrupting a job my members took.

Shun: Apologize? Ha! What a laugh.

Nash: They didn't even properly take the job.

Callum: Well then neither did you.

Shun: The Garchomp from that job was a scared mother, and they even tried to catch the Garchomp and separate her from her child. That isn't right.

Callum: How so? Pokémon are caught every hour of the day. Some with family, others without. In short Pokémon are always separated from their families and no one bats an eye. Now apologize to my members or things will get messy.

Lunchy lady: You know the rules! No battling in my cafeteria!

Callum: Oh I know.

Nash: Yeah not happening.

Shun: Agreed. We aren't apologizing to a club who doesn't have its members in control.

Callum glares at them and takes out a white glove from his pocket, he throws it at Shun and it lands on his shoe

Shun: Did he just throw a glove at me?

Nash: Yeah, what's that mean?

Callum: It means I, the Captain of the Luminous Club challenge the Winter Fang Team to a trainer war. Winner takes all.

Shun: Excuse me?! No way we aren't even an official team yet until we get our last three members.

Callum: Team challenges can be made regardless of if the club or team is official yet or not. And the challenger chooses the stage.

Nash: Is it accepting mandatory?

Callum: No, but I've always found ways to make the enemy accept my challenges.

Shun: Still no. Get lost mr fancy pants.

Callum glares at them and gets Aegislash in a Pokéball, and turns his back to them

Callum: You will regret not accepting my challenge. But trust me, you will soon. And when you do, and my club wins, you'll both be in my club at the bottom of the rankings.

Callum walks out of the cafeteria and everyone else in there look at Shun and Nash

Nash: We should probably ask the Director Dude how these challenges work.
