*Outside of Naranja, two days later*
Shun, Naofumi, and Yuya stand outside the academy. Naofumi with his arms crossed, and Yuya with his hands in his pockets
Naofumi: He better get here soon.
Shun: He'll show up. Just relax.
Yuya: Yeah have some faith.
They see Nash and Lucario walk up the stairs, smiling at them
Naofumi: About damn time.
Nash: Sorry we're late. Had a little trouble finding a sky taxi. Where's Sabina?
Shun: She snuck into the battle area and is acting as one of their own. Naofumi and Yuya will fill you in on the way there.
Nash: You're not coming?
Shun: Captains aren't allowed to participate in the battles. I'll be watching it here with all the other club and team Captains and Vice Captains.
Naofumi starts walking forward, as does Yuya
Naofumi: Now c'mon. We need to get a sky taxi.
Naofumi grabs the collar of Nash's jacket and starts dragging him
Nash: Hey let me go! I can walk on my own!
Yuya: We can't risk you wondering off.
Naofumi: Yeah what he said.
*At the base in North Province Area Two*
Sabina wears a black suit and white running shoes, her hair tucked inside a fedora. She stands at the gate watching all the Luminous members getting ready
Trainer 1: Hey suit girl! Help us out!
Sabina sees the trainer and two others slowly pushing a large wagon. Sabina walks over to the wagon and starts pulling it
Sabina: Okay this is so unfair why am I the only one pulling this!
Trainer 2: Keep your trap shut. And move faster, we don't have much time left.
Sabina: Rah!
*In the auditorium of Naranja Academy*
Shun sits in the middle row of the auditorium, the Captains, Vice Captains and other club leaders and academy staff sitting and standing in different parts, talking among themselves. Callum takes the seat directly behind Shun's
Callum: I hope you're all ready to be in Club Luminous D String forever.
Shun: Keep quiet. We ain't losing.
Callum: You know these Trainer Wars are brodcasted all over Paldea and Cipher City. It's how the academys make some money from it, since many like to bet. The losers money is split between the broker and the academy of said region, the academy obviously keeping a majority.
Shun: Once we win you'll lose all the confidence.
Director Clavell stands on the stage holding a microphone
Director Clavell: Attention everyone! The Trainer War will soon begin!
Everyone in the auditorium becomes silent, and a holographic screen appears behind Clavell, showing North Province Area Two
Announcer: Hello one and all! I hope you're ready for the one hundred twenty five against four Trainer War! Let the war begin!
*At North Province Area Two*
Two Luminous Club members stand outside the gate, one with a Gengar, the other with an Emboar. They look ahead and see Naofumi a few feet from them with his hands in his pockets
