"Alright here's the plan, we tell our parents we have AV Club after school, that'll give us a few hours for Operation Mirkwood." Mike told them.

Lucas sighed. "You guys really think that weirdo knows where Will is?"

"It's our best lead." Oscar insisted.

"What'd everyone bring? I got binoculars, a knife, a camo bandanna, a hammer and the wrist rocket." Lucas set his stuff out.

Dustin gave him a deadpanned stare. "You're going to take out the Demogorgon with a slingshot?"

"It's a wrist rocket." Lucas snapped.

"Also, the Demogorgon isn't real." Oscar chimed in with a deadpanned stare of his own.

Mike sighed heavily. "Dustin what did you get?"

Dustin set down a bunch of snacks. "I got a bunch of classics. Nutty Bars, Pringles, Pez, Smarties-"

"Are you kidding me?" Oscar questioned with narrowed eyes. "We're going to find our missing friend, not a school trip."

"We're gonna need energy, keep up our stamina. Besides what do we need weapons for? We have her." He gestured to El.

Lucas rolled his eyes. "She closed one door."

"WITH HER MIND."

"That doesn't mean she'll be willing to do anything else." Oscar protested. "We can't just make her use her powers for us like a pet doing tricks."

Dustin groaned. "Come on, imagine all the stuff she could do." He got an idea and grabbed a spaceship from Star Wars. "I bet she can make this fly." He held it out to her.

El glanced at him silently and watched him drop it.

"...Okay, concentrate." He insisted, picking it up again.

Oscar smacked Dustin on the back of his head. "KNOCK IT OFF!" He insisted with a scowl, snatching the toy away.

"She's not a dog!" Mike hissed.

"It's time for school guys!" Karen shouted from upstairs.

When Mike finished explaining the plan to El, they headed upstairs.

"So do you think Eleven is like the X-Men, or more like Green Lantern?" Dustin asked as they searched for rocks for the slingshot during recess.

Oscar rolled his eyes. "I think you're an idiot. Does it even matter?"

"She's not a superhero, she's a weirdo." Lucas reasoned.

Mike scowled. "Hey, the X-Men are weirdos."

"If you love her so much, why don't you marry her?" Lucas mocked.

"What are you talking about?" Mike groaned.

Oscar laughed. "Come on Mike, you obviously like her; it's sweet."

"Would you lay off?" Mike groaned.

But then an unpleasant voice spoke up. "Yeah, lay off Olive." It mocked.

They turned to see Troy and James walk up to them. "What are you losers doing back here? Looking for your missing friend?"

"That's not funny." Dusting told them coldly. "He's in danger, serious danger."

"Hate to break it to you, but he's dead. That's what my dad says, probably got murdered by some other queer." Troy hissed.

Oscar gritted his teeth, hands balling into fists.
