Mike and Oscar sat in a tense silence the next day. El still hadn't returned.

"You must really hate me." Mike commented. "Go ahead, start yelling. I know you're dying too." He huffed.

"Is that really what you think?" Oscar asked tiredly, eyes staring down at his bracelet.

Mike looked down at his lap. "I defended her, even after it all. And...And the worst part is I'm angry because she didn't come back. I'm worried about her. I'm so worried about her that...sometimes I forget about Will for a second."

Oscar sucked in a breath, trying to keep himself from getting angry.

"So just...yell at me already, okay?" Mike insisted. "Say you hate me, tell me I'm the worst brother and friend in the world, tell me you wish I was never born-"

Oscar smacked him in the face, making him freeze.

"I would never say that." Oscar all but hissed. "Never Mike. No matter what happens."

Mike rubbed his cheek, looking impossibly sad. "...I'm sorry..." He spoke in a near whisper.

"...I'm worried about her too." Oscar admitted reluctantly, surprising him. "Don't get me wrong, I'm pissed but..." He huffed. "She kind of...reminds me of Will." He admitted.

That's when Dustin showed up to talk to them.

"I just can't believe she didn't come back." He told Dustin angrily. "And that she tried to keep us from helping Will."

Dustin frowned. "I'm confused, are you mad, or worried?"

"BOTH!" Mike shouted in frustration. "I'M SO MAD AT HER BECAUSE SHE HURT MY BROTHER...BUT SHE ONLY MESSED WITH THE COMPASSES TO PROTECT US!"

Oscar held his head in his hands tiredly.

"What's your take?" Dustin questioned, glancing over at him.

Oscar sighed heavily. "I don't know..."He admitted softly. "I just don't want anyone else to be hurt." He explained.

"I shouldn't have yelled at her, I shouldn't have done that." Mike groaned.

"Mike, it's not your fault." Dustin sighed.

Mike scowled. "Yeah, it's Lucas'."

"It's not his fault either." Dustin chimed in.

"What?" Mike's eyes widened. "You're saying he wasn't way out of line!?"

Dustin scoffed. "Totally, but so were you two!"

"WHAT!? DON'T BRING MY BROTHER INTO THIS!" Mike fumed dangerously.

"So was Eleven!" Dustin added.

Oscar rolled his eyes. "Oh give us a break."

"No, actually, you two give ME a break. All of you were being assholes. I was the only reasonable one. The bottom line is, you pushed first, and you know the rule of first blood." Dustin told him firmly.

Mike scoffed. "I'M NOT SHAKING HIS HAND!"

"You're shaking his hand." Dustin snapped.

"No way!" Mike hissed.

Oscar sighed heavily. "Yes you are Mike. Dustin's right, it's the law. If you don't comply, you're kicked out of the party, and I sure as hell don't want that. Imagine how disappointed Will would be."

At this, Mike hesitated, and then groaned. "Okay, okay."

"Grab your coats. We're going to Lucas' and then we're gonna find Eleven." Dustin told them simply.
