Oscar gasped. Back in the basement, the walkie talkie was going crazy. Lucas was screaming something, but it kept cutting out.
"Get Mike and El!" Dustin told him quickly.
Oscar bolted and threw the door open. "GUYS LUCAS-" He froze when he saw them jump away from each other. He shook his head. "Lucas is in trouble!"
They hurried back to the walkie talkie.
"Hey idiot, we can't understand a word you're saying!" Oscar scolded. "Over."
"I COPY!" They all jumped when he shouted. "THEY KNOW ABOUT- THE MAD HEN- COMING- THEY KNOW- EL- ALL OF THEM- THE BAD MEN ARE COMING!"
Their eyes widened when they realized what he was saying.
"The bad men!" Mike gasped.
Everyone bolted out of the house through the back door, pausing briefly to snatch their bikes.
As they hopped on, they noticed a group of men heading their way, and El seemed to pale at the sight of one of them.
"HEAD TO ELM AND CHERRY!" Dustin yelled at them, he was in contact with Lucas thanks to a headset.
They hurried through the neighborhood, eventually meeting Lucas, but the vans were right on their tail.
"WE'LL NEVER GET AWAY FROM THEM!" Oscar exclaimed, eyes wide.
A van cut them off, heading straight for them.
Just in time before they could crash, El levitated the van into the air and made it flip over them, crashing in front of the other vans, allowing them to escape.
~~~
They arrived at the junkyard, collapsing the moment they could get off their bikes.
"That was...awesome." Lucas told her, making El look at him. "Look, the things I said about you being a traitor...I was wrong...and I'm sorry."
"Friends...don't lie...I'm sorry too." El told him softly.
"Me too." Mike started hesitantly. Lucas smiled and shook his hand.
~~~
Lucas made an outline of the area he was talking about in the dirt. "The fence starts here and then goes all the way around, this spot is the lab. The gate has to be here somewhere. The sign says the lab is own by Department of Energy." He explained.
Oscar frowned. "Military."
"Are you sure?" Dustin questioned.
"Our dad's talked about it before." Mike nodded. "They make weapons, for fighting Russians and stuff."
Dustin gulped. "So what do we do?"
"Well we can't exactly go home, we're fugitives." Oscar sighed.
And that's when they heard a helicopter.
They shoved their bikes under a bus before going inside it to hide, but an hour later, the walkie made noise.
"Mike? Olive? Are you there?" It was Nancy.
They snatched up the walkie, but hesitated with answering.
"This is an emergency, Mike. Do you copy? Olive, answer me!"
"It could be a trap." Mike frowned. "They might've kidnapped her and are making her say this."
Lucas scoffed. "It's your sister!"
"Don't answer." Dustin shook his head.
Just then, another voice spoke. "Kids we know you that you know about the girl. This is the chief, if you're there then pick up." He snapped. "We can protect you, we can help you, but you gotta pick up. Are you there? Do you copy? Over."
