"Oscar what are you doing? Mom wants pictures." Mike huffed as he stood outside the bathroom.

"I'M NEVER COMING OUT AS LONG AS I LIVE!"

Mike huffed. "Scar come on, we knew this was coming and we got a pretty good compromise!"

"I'll look like an idiot next to all of you!"

"You will not!" Mike protested. "Come on I..." His voice weakened. "I really need you with me..."

After a moment of silence, Oscar finally opened the door. "I hate when you use twin guilt to get your way." He grumbled from underneath the sheet he was wearing.

He was going as a typical ghost, since his parents refused to let him go as a Ghostbuster.

Mike grinned at him, making him scowl. "WHAT!?"

"You just look so cute-" Oscar punched him.

"Alright enough, pictures." Karen insisted, holding up a camera.

And thus began the photoshoot from hell.

~~~
They arrived at school and met up with Will, who was also a Ghostbuster to match them.
But Mike and Lucas ended up going as the same character and began to bicker over it.
That's when Dustin realized.
"Guys...why is no one else wearing costumes?" The boys froze when he realized Dustin was right.
Oh...fuck.
~~~

As they walked through the halls, everyone was snickering and pointing at them. "Scar just take off the stupid sheet and save yourself some humiliation." Mike muttered to him.

"Nope, we're twins, we go through hell together." Oscar huffed, sticking to his side like glue.

"Have I ever told you you're the best brother ever?"

"No but I'll welcome it."

~~~
Later when they were on their bikes, Max and her brother nearly ran them over in their car, just barely avoiding them.
But they didn't think about it for too long, as that evening was trick-or-treating.
Will and Jonathan drove up to Mike's house and Will hurried out grinning from ear to ear.
"You ready for tonight?"  Oscar asked with a grin when he approached.
Will was almost trembling with excitement. "Absolutely."
While the others rambled on about stuff, Oscar looked down to see Will still wearing the bracelet. "If you want to take it off for tonight I get it, doesn't exactly match."
He looked down and grabbed Oscar's wrist through the sheet with a smile. "Yours doesn't either, but you still wear it. It's fine, I like it."
For once, Oscar was happy to be wearing the sheet as he felt his face get hot.
~~~

"If I get another 3 Musketeers I'm gonna kill myself." Lucas declared as they left another house in annoyance.

Oscar huffed. "Hey it's free, which means it's perfect."

"Okay, realist." Mike teased.

But as they walked, someone in a mask with a sword jumped out at them screaming, making them scream.

Max cackled as she removed her mask to grin at them. "Holy shit you should've seen the look on your faces. And you?" She looked at Lucas. "You scream like a little girl." She started to walk away, but paused to look at them. "Are you coming or not?" She grinned.

The boys followed excitedly, except for Mike. Oscar hung back to stay with him.

"It's like they've forgotten she's existed." Mike muttered bitterly. "Just replaced her with some new girl."

"It's not like that, Mike." Oscar insisted softly. "You know that."

But Mike didn't seem convinced.

Oscar bit his lip and smiled behind the sheet. "Alright tell you what, you try and get along with Max tonight and I'll give you half of my candy."

Mike's eyes widened. "Like, a mixture? Not just 3 Musketeers?"

"I promise there won't be a single Musketeer in sight."

"...Deal." Mike grinned, running forward with Oscar to catch up with the others.

~~~
And Mike kept to his word, though his smiles were forced he didn't say a word about Max being there and continuing collecting candy with them.
But as they all walked, Will fell behind. Oscar didn't notice till a few moments later, frowning. "Where's Will?"
Mike paused, the others were too far ahead to hear. "He was right here..."
"GUYS WAIT A MINUTE!" Oscar called, getting their attention. "Will's gone!"
~~~

They searched around for him, and started panicking when they hit the ten minute mark.

But then, like a miracle, they finally found him curled up down in a lower area, shaking like a leaf.

Oscar ripped the sheet off of himself and knelt down. "Will?" He touched his arm gently, making Will jump in fear. "Will what's wrong? Hey, it's okay..." He insisted softly. "It's just us." The others hung behind, looking worried.

Taking a deep breath, Oscar helped Will stand, and Will clung to him in an instant. "You guys keep trick-or-treating, I'm gonna take him home." He insisted.

"I'll go too." Mike insisted instantly.

Oscar gave him a look, but at Mike's pleading look back he sighed. "Fine, let's go."

~~~
Will refused to say anything on the way back to the house. And even when they got there, he kept insisted he was fine.
Oscar left to get him some water, but it wasn't until he was about to step into the living room that he realizing Will was talking.
"It's like...I'm stuck." Oscar's eyes widened.
"Like, in the Upside Down?" He heard Mike question.
"No...it's like... you know on a View-Master when it gets caught between two slides? It's like that...like one world is ours and the other...is the Upside Down." Will explained softly.
Oscar stared down at the water in the glass.
"And...And there was this noise...coming from everywhere. And then I saw something..." Will's voice grew more fearful.
"The Demogorgon?" Mike asked.
"No. It was like...this huge shadow in the sky...only it was alive...and it was coming for me..." Will explained softly.
Mike paused before asking. "Is this all real? Or is it like the doctors say? All in your head?"
"I don't know." Will admitted, voice trembling. "Just please don't tell the others okay? Especially not Oscar." Oscar's eyes widened.
"But...But he's your best friend a-and my brother-"
"Mike, please."
"...Alright, I promise."
Oscar felt something burn behind his eyes and took a moment to calm himself.
"Eleven would, you know. Understand, I mean." Mike brought up suddenly, making Oscar tense all over again.
"She would?"
"She always did." Mike admitted softly. "Sometimes...I feel like I still see her. I feel like I'm going crazy. Oscar tries to help but...but I think he thinks I'm crazy sometimes too."
That...hurt more than anything.
Oscar swallowed hard before stepping into the room with a smile, holding the water out to Will. "Sorry it took so long, I stopped to use the bathroom on my way."
