Chapter One: Suzie, Do You Copy?

Joyce smiled as she knocked on Will's door briefly before opening it. "Will, Lucas just called and- OH MY GOD, OH MY GOD, OH MY GOD!" 

Oscar and Will shot up from the bed, where Joyce had previously saw them. And she's fairly certain Oscar had his hand up Will's shirt. The boys looked absolutely mortified as they stared at her with jaws dropped, scrambling for excuses.

"That wasn't-"

"Mrs. Byers-"

"We weren't-"

Joyce let out a deep breath and set a hand on Oscar's shoulder, making him jump. "Oscar, you know I think you're a great kid and I will support your guys' relationship till the day I die." She told him with a smile.

"...Thank you?" Oscar started hesitantly.

But she continued very calmly. "But if I catch you with your hand up my son's shirt again I will absolutely destroy you."

"Yes ma'am." Oscar nodded quickly, eyes still wide. He still kept his hair to roughly the same length as last year, but it was a bit messier now for style. He was wearing a beige t-shirt and some jeans.

She smiled at them. "Um, your friend Lucas called, said you guys are late and to hurry up to the mall?"

The boys froze.

"Oh shit."

They road on their bikes as fast as they could and found a very irritated group of friends waiting for them. Even Mike got there before them and he was late too.

"Sorry, sorry, sorry!" They exclaimed as they scrambled off their bikes and hurried into the mall with their friends.

"It's bad enough Mike was late, we're totally missing the opening." Lucas huffed as they walked. "Let me guess, you guys were all," He making kissing noises.

Oscar scowled and shoved him. "Shut it, Lucas. You just don't get it cause you're not a romantic."

"I am so!" Lucas insisted. "I'm spending romantic time with my girlfriend right now."

They scrambled to get through the groups of people. "Watch it nerd." Someone snapped.

"Yeah, watch it nerd." They looked over to see Erica hanging out with her friends.

Lucas scowled. "Isn't it past your bedtime?"

"Isn't it time you died?"

They ran into the ice cream parlor, where a woman named Robin was waiting for them. Mike rang the bell obnoxiously. "Hey dingus, your children are here." She smirked.

Steve came out, dressed in his sailor outfit for work. "Again? Seriously?"

He allowed them to use the back entrance to get into the movie theater.

When they were finally seated they had made it just in time for the beginning of the movie.

Mike leaned over towards Oscar and whispered. "Totally worth nearly missing the beginning right?"

"Dude I would've skipped the movie if Will didn't insist on going."

The twins shared a smirk before turning back to the movie.

But out of nowhere, the movie stopped working and the power went out, making the entire theater erupt into rage.

But just as quickly as it went out, it was back in less than a minute, making everyone cheer as the movie returned.

Oscar looked over at Will and frowned. He had an awfully distressed look on his face, and was rubbing the back of his neck. "Are you okay?" He whispered.
