They waited for over an hour, only to realize that not only Hopper and Joyce had left, but Nancy and Johnathan had too.

El said they went to go find the Demogorgon.

"This is crazy, we can't just wait around." Mike protested.

Lucas huffed. "Mike, we're still fugitives."

"Plus we don't even know where your sister is." Dustin reasoned.

"El can find her." Mike protested.

Oscar winced. "Mike...look at her. She's exhausted."

"Our best bet is to stay here and keep El safe." Lucas told him.

Dustin nodded. "I'm gonna go get some chocolate pudding, I know the lunch lady hoards that shit. El needs to be recharged anyways."

"Are you serious?" Mike groaned as Dustin and Lucas left to find some.

"What's wrong?" Will asked softly as he sat with Olive in his room. They were drawing, but Olive suddenly dropped her crayon.

Tears filled Olive's eyes as she sniffled, looking down at her drawing.

Will glanced at it curiously. He wasn't entirely sure, Olive had never been the best artist, but it looked like...two Mike's?

"Is that...Mike?" He questioned.

She nodded tearfully.

"Who's the other one?" He asked.

Olive whimpered, hugging herself tightly. "...On the inside..." She explained in a whisper. "I'm like him. Like you. Like...boys."

Will's eyes widened. "...You want to be a boy?"

She shook her head. "I am a boy."

"...Well, that's okay," Will insisted, making Olive look at him. "My brother always says you shouldn't be anything but what you are."

More tears filled Olive's eyes, and before he knew it she was full out sobbing. "AUGHHHHHHH!"

"Ahhh!" Will yelped in alarm. "C-Calm down! Please don't cry..." His chest ached painfully as he scrambled to find something. He snatched something off his desk and handed it to her with a smile. "Here, take this!"

Olive hiccupped as she looked down at the black beaded bracelet in her hand.

"I-I wanted to try jewelry making," He admitted sheepishly. "But I found it really boring and didn't make anything after that. It can be like, a celebration!" He insisted excitedly. "Of the day you became your true self!"

"My true self?..." Olive muttered tearfully.

Will nodded quickly. "Yeah! What if we called you..." He thought for a moment before beaming. "Oscar! That sounds tough right? And we can call you Scar for short, which sounds super cool."

Olive felt a small blush graze her cheeks. "Oscar..." She tried it out.

And that's when Will saw Olive smile wider than she ever had before.

Or rather...he had before.

"I'll wear it forever." He promised, slipping the bracelet on. "...Thank you, Will." He hugged him tightly.

Will grinned and hugged him back just as tight. "You don't need to thank me for something like this."
