You were walking through Haddonfield with your umbrella. It was a misty cold day anyways. You walked a long the sidewalk peering into the countless shops filled with Halloween decor. You heard a meow and looked to see a small black cat staring at you. You walked too it but it walked away. You decided to follow it for a bit.

You both stopped in front of a house. It looked halfway abandoned with the vines growing up it. You tilted your head when the cat jumped on the post next to you. You petted it's fluffy head when you saw something in the window. You tilted your head and opened the gate. You knocked on the front door only to be greeted by silence.

"Hello! Are you missing a cat?" You heard the door slightly creek open and a man stuck his head out. "Sorry to disturb you but a cat ran all the way here.. I just wanted to know if this is it's home." He nodded and called the cat to which it ran into the house. He looked you up and down with his sunken tired eyes. You smiled and gave him a wave bye to which he told you to wait. He handed you a handful of candy. "Happy Halloween..." You thanked the man and quickly ran off. The man looked over to see you had left your umbrella. Strange girl
