You and your dad were both hanging out at the park. He got a call in for work about a boy who was in critical condition. You tilted your head and your dad apologized. "Can I pretty please go with you! Pleaseeee!" He agreed and you both went.

You heard the nurses talk about how young he is and you were intrigued. One your dad and the nurses left the room you walked over to the bed.

You peered down at the boy. He looked around your age with dark curls and pale skin. His eye bags were noticable as well. You smiled and noticed his eyes started to move. He opened them and they widened at you. You tilted your head and he looked around. "Don't stress yourself, you're at the hospital!" He leaned his head back and took deep breaths. "What happened..?" You looked at him. "I don't know, sorry. My dad didn't tell me anything about you." He smiled and looked at you. "My dad's the same way." "What's your name?" "I'm Daniel, Daniel Matthews." You giggled and smiled. "I'm (y/n)! I'll be your friend while you recover here!" You heard his stomach growl and looked at him. "Hungry?" "Very I don't remember the last time I ate." You left to the canteen to find something for him to eat.

Once you had came back you brought him baked chicken with a mixed vegetable side. You also brought him a piece of cake and a juice. You set the tray onto his lap and he thanked you. You watched as he ate and noticed the weird coloration on his neck. Once he was finished he yawned and laid his head back into the pillows. "Hehe well I think you should be getting more rest now! It was nice meeting you Daniel!" Before you left he told you to wait. "Can we maybe hangout sometime.. maybe once I'm out of here?" You wrote your number on a piece of paper and handed it to him. "Of course Danny." He smiled and you watched as his eyes finally closed and he peacefully slept. You quietly left smiling thinking about your new friend.
