I woke up to my phone dinging. Rubbing my eyes, I picked it up.

It was Arin.

"Don't check the GG subreddit"

Confused, I asked him why.

"Just don't. Idk what Dan's doing, but for your sake, don't check it"

Well, now I had to know.

Pulling up their subreddit, and filtering it to newest, sure enough, there he was.

The headline read "Danny spotted with unknown girl at a coffee shop. The Sexbang strikes again."

I got another text. "Ellie, don't!"

I stared at the picture for what felt like an eternity. How could he? Was he really seeing someone already? He's only been gone a week. I know we aren't together, but it still hurt so fucking bad.

I texted back. "Too late.."

"Dammit Ellie! I told you not to"

"I had to know. I thought something bad happened. Turns out I was right."

"I'm so sorry. Usually he tells me what's going on, but I'm in the dark here"

"I think it's pretty obvious what's going on. And it's fine, not like we're together. The only question I have is why, but it's not my business"

"Why don't you text him?"

"Bc I dont want to seem desperate. Or stalkerish. Plus, he hasn't texted me yet, at all"

"He's texted me"

"Oh. Okay. I'm gonna go back to bed now"

I threw my phone across the room in anger and frustration as tears welled up again. I'm tired of feeling this way. I'm tired of having my emotions toyed with. I'm done. That's it, I'm done.

I spent the rest of the day feeling sorry for myself in bed. Any progress I'd made yesterday was completely out the window, right back to square fucking one. My phone would buzz periodically, waking me up from any sort of sleep I might have been getting.

I didnt care who it was. I didn't care if it was Suzy, I didn't care if it was Arin, and I sure as fuck didn't care if it was Dan.

I had to face them at some point. I knew I did. I didn't want to, but I had to. Taking a deep breath, I got out of bed and picked up my phone.

It was five texts from Arin. One from Dan.

I opened Dan's.

"I'm so sorry for not texting you. It's been utter chaos since I landed"

"Oh I bet"

"How have things been?"

"Hanging in there. You?"

I regretted asking him that, in fear of what he'd say.

"Fun so far! Finished 4 shows already. Haven't even had a chance to visit any museums though."

"Damn, that sucks. Had enough time to try out any new coffee shops?"

He didn't respond for a few minutes.
