Jessica was about to go trick or treating. She was dressed up as a witch. But as soon as she stepped out the door, her mother stopped her. "Jessica, wait!
"What?!" she asked, a tinge of frustration in her tone.
"You need to be with someone! I won't let you go trick or treating all alone!" said her mother.
"I'm not a little girl no more!" Jessica protested. "I'm 11 years old, Mom!"
"Jason will guide you!"
"Come on, little sis!" said Jason.
"Fine!" said Jessica. "Let's go, big brother."
"Have fun!" her mother sang.
"How's this for fun?" snapped Jessica, sticking her tongue out at her mother.
"That's not acceptable behavior!" said Jason. And with that, she went with him, trick or treating, throughout her entire neighborhood.
