Steven: Are you Chinese?
Ruth: No, I'm Vietnamese.
Steven: So, you're from Vietnam.
Ruth: No, my parents are from Vietnam. I was born and raised in New Jersey.
Steven: If you're Vietnamese, you're from Vietnam! You ain't from New Jersey!
Ruth: You don't know what you're talking about!
Steven: Isn't Vietnamese and Chinese the same thing?
Ruth: No? Vietnam is in Southeast Asia. Near Thailand and Cambodia.
