I rub my eyes as I'm rudely awaken from my afternoon nap, I frown deeply as I root around my bed to try and locate my phone that won't stop ringing. I sigh loudly as I find it and check the caller ID.

'Scar, what did I tell you about waking me up from my naps?'

'Um...not too.'

'Exactly.' I grumble as I wrap myself tighter around my duvet.

'Well wake your ass up, we're having a group sleepover.'

'I'm good thanks.'

I cringe away from the phone as I hear her whine loudly, 'Autiee! Please I'm going through a break-up, this is a very sensitive time for me.'

'You can't keep using your break-up as an excuse to keep making me do things, I don't want to do.'

'Actually, I can.'

I roll my eyes, 'Fine, when do you want me?'

'Seriously? You are the best, we are all going to have the best time ever!'

'Time.'

'Like an hour, I mean it's already half four now.'

I scrunch up my face as I stretch my legs out, 'Jesus, I've been asleep for nearly three hours.'

'So, you will be perfectly rested for tonight!'

'Yeah, whatever.'

'Okay, I need to go pump up the air-mattresses, find the sleeping bags, Oh! And I need to grab the spare pillows!'

'Have fun with that, I'm going to get ready.'

'How are you getting here? Do you want picking up?'

'I'll walk.'

'No, you will not.'

'I'm a big girl, I can walk. Plus, I get my cast off in two weeks, my hand doesn't hurt as much. And it's literally only ten minutes.'

'Fine, but I'm not happy about this.'

'Shame.'

'Okay, I'll see you soon. Bring your best pyjamas.'

'Bye.' I murmur before hanging up the phone.

I yawn loudly as I run my hands through my hair, I slowly trudge off my bed towards my drawers I rummage through them to try find a pair of pyjamas that where both socially acceptable and long-sleeved. I pull out, a silky long-sleeve and pants set which has dark and pale pink stripes. I debate changing into them now, I don't feel particularly comfortable getting changed when there is going to be males around, even logically I know I'm safe around them. They haven't given me a reason to doubt them, not for one second.

Fuck it.

Tonight, was a big step for me, I was going to put my trust into males and sleep in the same room was them. I try not to think about it too much, if I did, I was going to make myself have a panic attack.

So, If I needed to get changed before I go, then that's absolutely fine. I need to go into this environment feeling as safe as possible.

I peel of my now slightly sweaty clothes from the deep slumber, I was awakened from. I change into my night-wear attire, I couldn't help but feel relieved when they fit loosely around me. I pull half of my hair up into a half-ponytail before I pull out random loose strands. I purse my lips before hesitantly grabbing my sleeping pills and putting them into my backpack.

I grab my large puffer coat before sliding on my shoes, I clench my fits tightly as I take a deep breath.

Autumn, you can do this.

You are going to be safe.

I bit my lip, nodding to myself before I walk downstairs. I wince as I can hear my mom's drunken singing towards her boyfriend. Great, he's still here. I walk out of the front-door without a goodbye, I was still trying to keep my contact with her to a minimum.

The cold air greets me as I begin to walk down the rain paved street, I clutch my backpack tighter when I see a group of teenage boys on the other end of the street.

You're fine.

You're completely fine.

I quicken my pace, practically sprinting until I reach the familiar navy door, I knock on it frantically, slightly out of breath. The door swings open to reveal a frowning Lucas, he's wearing his grey joggers again, except this time he's wearing a band t-shirt on his top half.

Fuck, I don't want to admit this, but the band on his t-shirt is actually my favourite band.

He pokes his head out of the door peering around the surroundings, 'You okay princess? Why are you so out of breath?'

I narrow my eyes, 'I'm just unfit, okay? Back off.'

He smirks as he eyes up my clothes, 'Nice outfit.'

I scoff, 'Are you going to let me in? Or just keep standing there.'

Lucas rolls his eyes but steps out of the way nonetheless, I briskly move past him not stopping until I'm in the living room. My eyes widen as I notice the amount of effort, Scarlett must have put in to creating this. The lights were switched off, numerous fairly lights illuminated the room with a soft golden hue, three air mattresses were scattered on the floor, each of them having a pillow and duvet on them. The sofa was made into a make-shift bed. The coffee table was decorated with numerous snacks and sodas.

My smile widens as I see a flock of pink curls bumble into the living room, 'You're pink again!'

She grins at me brightly, 'I am! It feels pretty great, I must say.'

'You've done a really good job.' I say as I look over the room again.

She claps her hands together excitedly, 'I just love sleepovers.'

I place my coat and backpack in the corner of the room before, I settle down on one of the air mattresses.

'Can I just say Autie, you look so cute in your pyjamas!'

I roll my eyes playfully, 'So do you, Scar.'

'The prettiest one has arrived!' Toby announces as he walks into the living room, holding numerous snacks in his hands, Lucas trailing behind him.

'Sammy isn't coming, he said he's still sick.'

I'm still calling bullshit on that one.

Scarlett frowns as she sits down on the mattress next to mine, 'Remind me to send him more soup, tomorrow. I hope he's okay.'

Lucas shrugs as he sits down on the sofa, 'It's probably just a cold. He's always been a sickly child.'

Toby snorts as he makes himself comfortable next to his pink-haired friend, 'So, what kind of movies are we in the mood for?'

'Horror!' Lucas and I exclaim at the same time.

My eyes narrow, 'Do you have to copy me?'

'I said it first!'

'No, I did!'

'Pretty sure, it was me!'

Scarlett frowns as she plays with the blanket in her hands, 'Can it not be too scary, though?'

'Don't be such a baby!' Lucas whines.

'You're the reason, I'm terrified of them!'

He holds his hands up in defence, 'It was one little prank.'

I raise my eyebrow intrigued, 'What prank?'

Scarlett huffs loudly, 'We watched Halloween, and dumbass over here bought the mask from it, and decided it would be really funny to wake me at three am, wearing said mask.'

I burst out laughing, 'That's pretty fucking funny.'

'I was petrified for weeks!'
