I rub my eyes as I yawn loudly, my eyelids fluttering open, I blink in attempt to adjust my vision. I wince as a pain shoots through my neck. Soft murmurs echo the room, I turn to the source of the voice. Asleep on the armchair across from me was Lucas Wilson.

I couldn't help but stare at his sleeping frame, extremely fucking creepy, I know. But he just looked so at peace and innocent. I scan the room, the tv was still playing in the background but Scarlett and Toby, where nowhere to be seen. We must have fallen asleep before them, and they went to bed.

I grab the pillow by my foot before hurling it at the dark-haired boy, his body shoots ups, his eyes frantic and wide as he looks around. I can't help but burst out laughing at his expression.

His eyes narrow, 'That was not fucking funny.'

'Oh, but it was.'

He rubs the back of his neck, 'I didn't even realise, that I fell asleep.'

'Me either. But now, I'm wide awake.'

'That sounds like a you problem, princess. Because I'm going to bed.'

I frown slightly, 'You aren't going to stay up with me?'

He groans loudly, 'Fuck-sake, I don't like it when your face does that.'

My eyebrows knit together, 'Does what? Frown?'

'Yeah.'

I frown deeper, 'Does that mean you'll stay with me?'

He rolls his eyes, 'Fine, but I'm not happy about it.'

I sit up properly as I pat the empty space next to me, 'I'll even let you sit next to me.'

He snorts as he stands up and places himself next to me, 'What an honour.'

'I know, you're welcome.' I murmur as I grab the remote, I flick through Netflix before stopping on 'The Office U.S'.

'At-least you have good taste.'

'Who is your favourite character?'

He turns to me with a small smile, 'Jim, all the way. What about you?'

I shrug, 'I like them all.'

'I once put one of my ex-girlfriend's mugs in jello. And she ended up being so pissed, she didn't speak to me for two whole days.'

I make a face, 'Seriously? I would have found that hilarious.'

His smile widens, 'Really?'

'Yeah, she just sounds like a dickhead.'

He winces, 'She was.'

'Then why, where you with her?'

'She seemed cool at first, they always do.'

I reach forward and grab some of the popcorn that was still sitting on the coffee table, 'Maybe, you need to change your type.'

'That's the issue, they are never my type.'

' Why don't you just find a girl who is actually your type?'

His eyes flicker away from the television to mine, 'When I find her, I'll let you know.'

An unfamiliar feeling settles in my stomach, as the thought of Lucas finding someone. I couldn't pin-point exactly what it was. But I didn't like it.

'Can I ask you a question?'

'Go for it, princess.'

'Where the rumours about you going to juvie true?'

His eyebrows knit together, 'They were a lot of rumours. Which one?'
