This morning Olivia took Winter and I to look around her house, it was beyond beautiful. I kept trying to find negatives, but I was really struggling. The second you step into the hallway; you are met with the feeling of content. Her husband was working a nightshift, so he was sound asleep when we got there. But from the pictures I could see, he was very handsome, and his eyes looked kind which helped slightly. Winter was currently over there for a sleepover to see how she settled into the environment without me, and I was terrified. Part of me was comforted by the fact they both worked in professions that looked after children.
I was anxiously texting her every half an hour asking for a picture or an update. I just needed to know that she was safe and okay.
A small knock echoes my bedroom door before it swings open, my eyebrows knit together when I see Lucas stood there with moving boxes in his hands.
'Your mom let me in, she's very friendly.'
I groan as I take a box of him, 'What did she say?'
'Well, she kept asking if I had turned eighteen already. I think she was trying to flirt but she wanted to make sure that she didn't catch a case.'
I wrinkle my nose, 'That's fucking disgusting.'
'Don't worry, Love. I didn't flirt back.'
'I should fucking hope not.'
'Well, my mom asked for me to drop you off some more moving boxes.'
I raise an eyebrow, 'Is that the only reason you came?'
'No, I also wanted to check on you. You've been through a fucking lot, the last few days.'
I let out a shaky breath as I collapse onto my bed, 'I-I know and I can't even sleep it away.'
He frowns, 'Why?'
'I-I ran out of my fucking sleeping pills and I can't get my prescription until Monday because I'm an idiot, who doesn't re-fill before I run out.'
'Is there anything I can do to help?'
'Yeah, you can pack for me.' I joke as I rub my eyes, the exhaustion seeping in.
The dark-haired boy nods as he takes off his denim jacket and begins to look at the piles darted around the room, my eyes widen when he grabs a box and starts placing some of my items inside.
'I-I was joking.'
'Well, I'm not, you need to rest. Put something good on in the background while I pack.'
I smile fondly at him as a feeling of content pools in my stomach, I grab the remote for my tv and put on a murder documentary.
'Your mom is probably one of the nicest people, I've ever met. I don't know how you turned out to be such an ass' I murmur as I wrap my duvet around my body.
'You didn't think I was an ass when you asked me out on a date.'
I roll my eyes, 'I always think you're an ass.'
He places a hand to his chest, 'You've wounded me, love.'
'I'm sure you'll get over it.'
'I actually don't know if I will. Maybe I should find a girl who doesn't bully me instead.'
I narrow my eyes, 'Shut up.'
He gives me a cheeky grin, 'Don't worry, I'm not interested in finding any other girls.'
'Seriously?'
He laughs as a pink tinge covers his cheeks, 'Seriously, I'm not going to fuck this up before it even begins.'
