I smile brightly at the petite pink haired girl while she links her arm with mine, a sudden rush of sadness invades my bloodstream as I notice the 'Goodbye Sammy' banner, the moment we step into his back garden.

I frown deeply, 'I can't believe how much I'm actually going to miss him.'

Tears gloss over in her large green eyes, 'Stop it because if I think about it too much, I won't stop crying for the entire party.'

I laugh softly, 'I know you won't.'

My heart warms as a familiar mousy brown-haired boy, rushes towards us with a gigantic grin plastered onto his face.

'You two look absolutely beautiful!' He cries out before he tackles us both into a bear hug.

I raise my eyebrow as I pack his back awkwardly, 'How much have you had to drink Sam?'

His cheeks flame wildly as he pulls away from us, 'Just a lot.'

Scarlett's bottom lip begins to wobble, 'C-Can you not just stay here?'

'Scar, I'll be back before you know it.'

'Sam by the time you come back, I will have birthed an entire child.'

He laughs loudly, 'I'll stay if you call the baby Samuel.'

She pouts before murmuring under her breath, 'I told fucking Rocky, that if the baby was a boy, he could name him.'

'By the way, I actually invited Rocky here.'

My eyebrows knit together, 'You talk too Rocky?'

He nods slowly, 'Yeah, I hung out with him and Luke the other night.'

I frown as I cross my arms across my chest, 'I'm still waiting for him to speak more than ten words to me.'

I narrow my eyes as Sammy reaches forward and ruffles my hair, 'I'm sure you'll get there.'

'Shut up.'

My eyes widen as a pair of arms snakes around my waist, panic rises inside my chest before I look down and see a familiar set of rings. I sink back against the muscular chest towering behind me, as a kiss is planted on the top of my head.

'You look absolutely beautiful love.'

My heart flutters as I give him a lazy grin, 'Hey you.'

'I missed you too.'

Excitement spikes inside of me as I jump out of his arms, 'Oh my god, I need to tell you something!'

He gently grabs my shoulders, 'Tell me baby.'

'I-I got published! I-In the magazine!'

Lucas eyes widen as a swoon worthy smile appears on his face, 'Fucking hell! Love, I'm so proud of you! Where can I buy one?'

I laugh softly as he gently picks me up and spins me around, 'Luke, you helped me write it. You don't have to read it.'

'I know! But I want to fucking frame it!'

I feel so loved in this moment that my chest physically hurts from happiness, because I know that he isn't joking. He truly does want to frame my work.

A goofy grin etches onto my lips, 'I love you.'

'I love you too, you big dork.'

I turn my head when I hear a small sob from besides me, the second our eyes lock Scarlett tightly wraps her arms around me.

'My best friend is a journalist!'

I roll my eyes warmly as I gently squeeze her waist, 'It was only one article.'
