Engfa's POV
I finally went to the toilet to search for his partner. When I entered the room, all I saw was this one dazzling woman doing her makeup on her cheek where she was trying to cover up a bruise?! That looked too real...Don't tell me she got beaten by someone.
Out of curiosity, I approached that girl and instantly, she finalised covering her face so that people who see her face don't see the bruise. As quickly as she could, I stopped her from doing so and asked her something.
"Are you Win's girlfriend?" I questioned her.
"Emm, yes. What is it?" The girl looked unpleasant to admit that she was the girlfriend.
"Ah...It's just that your boyfriend is too drunk to walk. I think you should bring him home before something bad happens," I requested the girl, but she could only sigh as it looked like it often occurred in her life.
Before she went away from me, I could not ignore the fact that she had bruises on her face, causing me to worry about the stranger. And so I grabbed her hand to ask her another question.
"Did someone hit you in the face?" I become worried and give a good look at her face by moving my face near hers.
"What bruises? I didn't have any bruises!" She tried to deny the claim and proceeded to go to her boyfriend.
As a woman, I am concerned when someone from the same gender gets mistreated, and I feel the need to protect them just because they are physically weaker. Hence, I followed her steps and accompanied her at all times. When the girl and I saw Win, I asked Tor to help carry him to their car.
Not even until we reached the parking lot did Win hit his girlfriend on her head without reason. Because of my reflex, I immediately pushed Win away from his girl and kept an eye on her.
"What's wrong with you!" I become mad at my boyfriend's friend. This boy is definitely becoming violent when he's drunk. When I looked at the back, I saw the girl look unfazed by the beating and continue to act normal.
"Are you okay?" I asked again because I was astonished to see her reaction.
"I am fine! Just help me bring him to his car..." She looked too tired to respond to my useless questions.
At that moment, I felt enraged at how she suppressed her emotion and not saying anything about her pain. On the other hand, Tor tries to make Win sober by forcing him into the car and letting him drink water. Next, Tor kind of ties Win two times with the seatbelt by rounding out his body twice so that he won't hit the girl again.
Just thinking about that reminds me again why I love Tor. He is indeed the good boyfriend I could ever have. However, my mind travelled elsewhere when my eyes searched for the girl on their own. Again, anxiety came out of my brain as she was still not safe when her boyfriend was still around.
"Do you know how to drive?" I inquired.
"Yeah...but I drank alcohol just now...not sure-" She replied, but Tor offered to bring his friend instead.
"In the meantime, maybe you could drive her back, babe?" Tor asked for my help. As I was about to say something, the girl denied Tor's request and settled for a walk since she lived nearby.
"Even so, it's midnight already, almost 1 am, and the road is dark...It's not safe to walk alone... please let me give you a ride..." It might sound like I begged her to come with me, and surprisingly, she accepted my offer.
"Fine..." The girl responded.
