Chapter 12: Destruction

Someone's POV

I called Win to inform him about Charlotte's whereabouts for the days when he wasn't there to watch her. He has to know about her new friend.

Win☠️: Hey, Bro! Have you done your job eyeing my girl?

Someone💩: That's why I am calling you for... she's currently spending a lot of time with Eng.

Win☠️: Thanks, Bro, for being loyal to me! You did a great job reporting that to me. I will punish that bitch if she's trying to spread false rumours about me.

Someone💩: Do you have to punish her? Don't you love her?

Win☠️: Well, I love her, and that's why I have to do this... so she doesn't misbehave when I am not there and play with someone apart from me. You know that I hate being cheated, right?

Someone💩: I guess you are right...

Win☠️: You know damn well I am right!! Why are you being cautious like this? Man is supposed to be the alpha in the relationship.

Someone💩: I know that!

After I said that, I immediately hung up the phone as I grew sick of him belittling me as a man.

Charlotte's POV

I remembered that Win is going to come home tomorrow, so I can no longer have the time to hang out with Engfa. However, my mood suddenly became gloomy when I heard a loud knock on my door.

It turns out that he returned straight away from his work trip and started threatening me about something. "Why are you angry tonight? Have you been drinking again?" I lowkey scolded him so he could become sane.

"I take that you have a new friend around the town, huh? You cannot hide that from me... I know everything!" He slowly raised his voice, showing that he was agitated by me.

"How did you know? Did you hire someone to follow me around?" At this point, I was perplexed by her obsessiveness to control me completely.

"If I do, what are you going to do? Are you going to run away from me again? You little shit!" He becomes daring, thinking that his action is rational.

"If you can have friends, then why can't I?" I justified myself.

"Fuck it, you don't need a friend! Why do you need a friend when you have me? Am I right, darling?" Win was composing himself by choking my neck, so I agreed with everything he said.

"You know what! I am so done with you! Let's break up..." I went against him, and he became nastier as he punched me in the face. The impact was so bad that it made me fall to the ground, but I didn't want to give up and kicked his centre.

Because of my action, he was in pain temporarily, which was my chance to run away from Win, except that I could not exit the house as he was still in front of the door, guarding it. So, I decided to lock myself in the bathroom in my room.

When I tried to call for help, I instantly thought of Fa since she's a police officer. As I called, Win constantly yelled and threw anything breakable to intimidate me. Since the bathroom door is not durable, he was able to break in and throw away my phone far away for me, making me frightened of him.

He was laughing like crazy and dragged me out of the bathroom by my hair. The next thing, he didn't hesitate to kick me on every part of my body like I was a punching bag. This causes me to spit out blood due to internal bleeding.

I tried to fight back from that moment, but he was way out of my league and handled me like an object. At this point, I could only pray that I didn't die because my boyfriend was beating me.

Just then, help came in, and the second before I closed my eyes, all I could see was a shadow of an angel who kept on yelling my name...

"CHAR!!! Stay with me!!" The angel shouted through my ears, but I had already shut down.
