Hailey hadn't been feeling 100% the past couple days, she had been feeling extremely fatigue, she'd been struggling to keep her eyes open and stay awake at work and she'd been yawning a lot more than usual, she also had a small headache that had progressively been getting worse each day. She honestly thought it was because she was overly tired and she just needed a full night sleep and then she would feel better but that wasn't the case.
Hailey was woken up by the sound of her alarm and for some reason it sounded way louder than usual, it literally vibrated through her ears and made her head pound. She groaned leaning over to turn the alarm off and she noticed Jay wasn't in bed, she screwed her eyes shut and rubbed her temples to try and ease some of the pressure in her head then she went to go see Jay, she found him in the kitchen making coffee. "Morning Hails, how are you this morning?" He asked going over and wrapping her in a hug, placing a kiss to her head. "Morning, I'm alright I just have a headache." Jay gave her a sympathetic look. "Aw babe I'm sorry, if there's anything I can do to help please let me know, I've made you a coffee if you want it." Hailey took the coffee even though she knew it wouldn't do anything to help the pain in her head but she needed it as she was still feeling extremely tired and she needed the caffeine boost. She drank her coffee while getting ready for work and took a couple painkillers hoping they'd help the pain, then her and Jay got into the car and he drove them to the district.
On the way to the district, every single speed bump they went over seemed to make Hailey cringe in pain and not even 5 minutes after getting into the district they ended up getting a case so she didn't even get a minute to herself. The whole team had spent the day working a drugs case, they had been questioning suspects, researching into potential suspects, finding locations of stash houses and they were eventually able to engage in a drug deal that was going down and bust it. They got the stash houses cleared and the correct offenders in custody. Hailey had been in agony with her head all day and she'd also started to get pain in her stomach, she felt so sick. Jay had been checking up on her all day so he knew she wasn't feeling great and right now everyone was sat at their desks finishing off some bits of paperwork for the case they had been working on that day. Hailey got up from her desk and went to her locker to get some more painkillers for her head as she was due to take more. After she took them she sat down on the bench in the locker room and started to cry, she was in so much pain. Jay had noticed Hailey had been gone a while and went to check on her, he heard small whimpers coming from the locker room and he knew straight away that it was Hailey. He walked in and seen her sitting, she was hugging her legs and her head was resting on her knees. "Oh hails." He said walking over to her and pulling her into his embrace "I'm in so much pain, my head is killing me and I feel so sick, I thought i was just tired but this is definitely a migraine." she sobbed, Hailey had experienced a couple migraines before so she knew that's what this was. "Come on let's go home so you can rest and we can get you feeling better." Jay said standing up and taking Haileys hand in his to get her to stand up as well. They went to get their stuff from their desks before leaving and everyone else was getting ready to leave for the night as well since all the paperwork had been done and the case was dealt with.
As soon as Jay and Hailey got home Jay put away their guns and badges and Hailey went and put on some more comfortable clothes she put on one of jays T-shirts and a pair of joggers then went to lay down in bed. Jay came into the room and closed the curtains for her, the sun was setting so it wasn't completely dark outside and he wanted to make the room as dark as possible to try help relief some of the pain she was feeling, he then went and got an ice pack out of the freezer and went to get in bed with Hailey, he applied the ice pack to her head and held it there to try numb and soothe the pain. Hailey had ended up falling asleep after a while and the ice pack had gone warm, he removed it from her head and threw it away. He decided to sit in the living room and watch tv while she slept but he left their bedroom door open so he could listen out for her in case she woke up or she needed anything.
