Xerxes did exactly what he told his daughter. He had Vince look into every possible lead he could think of about Jasira Bakare. Nothing was there. Vince looked into the background of the girl's parents, grandparents, and so on, but he found nothing. She had nothing in common with the Abdullahi's, so X should have been happy. As his daughter said, something wasn't right about this, but maybe he was looking in the wrong places. Yet he couldn't go off his daughter's gut feeling and kill her. If he did, she might have been a good person who was paid to do this job, which would be blood he didn't want on his hands.

The only other reasonable thing to do would have been to follow the girl. It could have just been a one-time thing, but he knew that the girl liked Xavier, which didn't bother him. Even so, the Nigerians should have known that Xerxes didn't mess around with his children. If this were one of the Nigerian's little schemes, he would find out and kill them if they hurt his child. All of it was really starting to bother him, and the people around him didn't know how much he just wanted to go to Nigeria and blow the Abdullahi's straight to hell. But doing so would mean killing innocent people.

Although Xerxes knew their time was coming. He still had the itch but had to put it aside, at least for now.

The good thing was that Elijah and his crew were leaving a few days after the stupid Halloween party they had every year. X hoped they could find something to help them instead of just sitting there with their thumbs up their asses. This was bad for Xerxes because their enemies always seemed to know everything about them, even though they didn't know much about them. Mainly because most of their enemies were family or people, they used to trust, but for some reason, they thought of ways to hate them for no reason. The shit with the Nigerian should have ended when Emmanuel died. The fact that it didn't tell Xerxes it was something more than what he told Chance. Or it could have been someone who wanted Emmanuel dead—sitting back and waiting for their time to shine or their deaths.

"I know that look," Luca spoke, breaking his thought process and walking into Xerxes's office without knocking. "A little too well. What's on your mind, son?"

"Xylia came to me a couple of days ago. She was concerned about a girl that approached Xavier in the mall named Jasira Bakare. An older girl... just turned eighteen and transferred to the University from Nigeria."

The last part caused Luca to sit up in his seat, tilting his head slightly to the right before humming. The same thoughts seemed to be crossing his mind as he thought, and X waited patiently until his father was ready to speak again.

"What did you find out about her?"

"Nothing... I had Vince hack the school systems. From there, he did a background on her, her parents, grandparents, and everyone in between. She had no ties to the Abdullahi Mafia, but I feel she sought out my son. So does his twin."

"Look, I understand your thoughts... he's your child. On the other hand, Xylia doesn't like anyone who shows interest in her twin brother. It was the same with Melody and Elijah, and I think it's a girl, boy, twin thing because Neveah and Heaven didn't show that behavior. However, I do think you should keep an eye on the girl. Have her followed for a month or so to be on the safe side. You have to understand Xavier is getting older, and girls will fall over him. Younger and older and his sister has to learn to deal with it. Besides that, have you checked out the girl he is seeing and what she is after? I wouldn't say I like the fact he is buying her things and giving her money. Other than that, your sister is set to land in a few hours. I'm going to ask you again, do you think we can trust Alexei Novikov?" His father spoke while X nodded swiftly.

"Summer is clean, and the rest are clean, but I am still watching them. Alexei was stupid to kidnap Talia, but I understand the situation. Well, part of it anyhow. I, myself, don't think I would have waited years to find out the truth about my mother's death, but some are fucked up in the head that way. Alexei didn't harm Talia, and he is deep in this Nigerian war as we are. They are mad at him because he wasn't dumb enough to sign over his mafia and us because of our race." Xerxes shrugged.
