"Aww, don't you two look happy," Adele said, walking into the kitchen as Xerxes had Amoy pinned against the corner of the counter. Quickly the woman pushed him away as he laughed, turning to his mom.

"Three months X. He's been gone for three months, and I want my grandson back home. I loved Riley like she was my fucking daughter, and I welcomed Tobias into this family. I don't give a fuck about their relationship. Or the two of ours, but I want my grandson back here. Riley knows all of this is uncalled for. If she wants Tobias, so be it, but she needs to grow up and face all she has done."

"I couldn't agree more. Is that the only reason you came here?" He asked as she laughed, shaking her head. No one was supposed to be there. The older children had taken, the younger ones to the zoo or something. His father and the rest were at work, and the last time he checked, this was his house.

"No, you have something I need in the kitchen here. I didn't know you and Amoy were home." She said quickly, grabbing something out of the cabinet, which looked to be his weed, as she hurried to the door.

"Ma, really! I know you and dad got some at the house, and you going to take my whole fucking jar."

"Ask Eli for some more. I'll pay him, but Nova and I are about to get fucked up." She said, hurrying out as he turned back to Amoy laughing, causing X to shake his head.

"You see something funny?"

"Yeah, yuh just got robbed by yuh mother. Mi finds that quite funny... but tell mi something and be honest with mi. Do yuh want her back? Yuh talk as if you do sometimes."

"Nine months ago, if you would have asked me that question, I would have quickly said yes. It's been a year and two months since she walked out on me. Now... now no. I told you, Amoy, I want you. I want to see where this goes and if it will work. Although I'm not the same man, I was with Riley. I won't take the shit as I did with her. The lying, the placing blame, and other shit; if you want me, always be honest. Let me know when you feel something is wrong or needs to change. Also, know if you want me, you must want my children and all my fuck ups. Sometimes it may seem that I don't care for myself, only for my siblings, parents, and children, but in reality, I don't know how to express those self-emotions. My emotion shows through my eyes, and I thought she knew that...."

"Tell mi what it means when yuh eyes are grey. Mi has seen you angry, and they are green or brown. This is the first time they have been grey. Are yuh showing me your heart? Do I deserve that after what Mi has done? Mi sought out a married man and threw myself at yuh when Mi could have told yuh the truth. Mi caused some of yuh family to hate yuh." She said as he nodded; because of all, it was the truth. Xerxes wasn't saying he loved her yet, but he cared deeply for her. Amoy understood when he needed to be left alone, and she was always in his corner when he needed a friend lately.

"I don't think I'm ready to open my heart to you just yet. I still need to do a little soul-searching, and I don't want to tell you I love you and don't mean it. I don't want to hurt you because I'm confused... don't take it the wrong way. I have a feeling for you, Moy. I want to explore those feelings, but I'm still hurting."

"Mi understand... let me do something for yuh. I promise yuh will like it. Come on, mon; it's only an hour's flight there, and Mi promise yuh we will be back in time for family movie night wit yuh kids." She smiled while holding out her hand as Xerxes smiled. "And I heard it's your birthday. When the last time sumone did something for only yuh." She asked as Xerxes thought about it. The last time Riley did something for his birthday was about six or seven years ago, but he was always celebrating hers.

Quietly he took Amoy's hand as she led him out to his car, getting in the driver seat and then driving them to the airstrip. From there, they made their way to Berlin, making him wonder what she had planned as she took them to one of his parent's bed and breakfast overlooking the city. No wonder his mother thought he was gone because she had helped Amoy plan this. After walking, the lady led them to one of their family's private rooms, where a little table was set up for dinner.
