"Xavier, can we please talk about what you told me yesterday?" Xylia spoke, walking up to her brother. He had to be out of his mind to agree to marry Shanice because of one stupid mistake that any one of them could have made. Oriana and her mother were good at what they did. There was no way they could have known if they had done the same thing in the states before coming to Germany.
"Xy, my mind is set. Just leave it alone."
"Zay, what if Shanice doesn't want this? This is your decision, not hers. I could understand if you both agreed on this, but brother, this is your pain talking. Don't let that bitch win."
Xavier stood there staring at her as his eyes flickered green before turning back to their original color. Unlike their father, Xylia and Xavier had grey eyes, which turned blue when they were upset. Xavier's eyes turning green was something new to her, making it hard for Xy to read, and for some reason, she felt like their connection had broken.
"Talk to me, please."
"Talk to you... it's always talk to you, but you never fucking listen. It's always about what Xylia wants and how Xylia feels. You don't understand I am always dealt the raw end of the deal. My last four girlfriends have been nothing but fucking bitches. Oriana topped it off, accusing me of something I didn't fucking do, and Jasiara wasn't that far behind. She may not have been a girlfriend, but I let her in... I fucking slept with the bitch, and she lied. I care nothing about how many times she tried to tell me the truth. She didn't try hard enough. I tried to do what dad told us. Go out in the world and find someone for us. None of these girls are for me, Xy. I want someone like me... someone that comes from the same background as me. Shanice is what I want."
Xylia nodded. Still, she didn't agree, but her brother's mind was not changing. She could only make sure Shanice was on the same page because she didn't want Xavier's feelings to hurt any more than they already had been, and she especially didn't want him going off the deep end. Without a word, she stood hugging her brother.
"Love Bud."
"I love you too, Stank. Let me do this, okay."
"Okay." She whispered, kissing the top of his head before leaving the room. Xylia didn't expect to run into Jasira outside his door, but she could tell she had been eavesdropping by the tears in the girl's eyes. She actually did like Xavier, but as her brother stated, she should have come out with the truth. Xavier was never good with liars or with forgiving.
"Jasira...."
"No, I understand." She spoke quickly, walking away. Xylia had half a mind to follow her but figured she needed some time alone as she watched her walk into her room. After Xy made her to Shanice's door knocking, upon opening the door, she looked just as surprised as Xylia was knocking on her door.
"You change your mind about wanting me?"
"Ha, no! I want to talk to you about my brother." Xylia was looking for her smile to fade, but it became brighter as she stepped over to the side. Something that made Xy look around before entering, and once she was in, she stayed by the door.
"I don't bite... unless you wanted me to, Xylia." She smiled, making her roll her eyes. "So, what about your brother?"
"He, going to our father and yours to ask for your hand in marriage...."
"WHAT!? Wait... wait... wait! I thought he was into Jasira. What happened to that?" She asked as Xylia shrugged, taking the seat by the door. Shanice quickly sat on the bed with a sigh looking everywhere but at Xylia. "I don't want him to feel like he has to do this or obligated to do so. Why would he decide to do something like this?" She asked.
