They were back in Germany three days later, and Xavier was pissed. The day they landed, he learned that Jasira never really cut her ties with the Nigerians, maybe with Madison but not the man she was fucking. Every time he when to her for a study session, he knew. The man knew of everything and everything that they had spoken of. It may not have been important, but it made him look like a traitor. His father moving her into the community just helped her along.

There were also the texts he received, which started the night of the gala. They all were the same, blaming him for Jasira's death, and they were starting to get to him. It didn't help that his mother was hurt too. Although Madison did seem to be aiming to kill her, she wanted to hurt him more. She wanted him to think that the shit was his fault and it was working.

"You're not scared of those things?" Shanice asked, standing as far away as she could from Xavier and his dogs. They all looked back at the girl standing against the building with a frown, but his dogs seemed happy to see her. Their tails wagged while one of them rolled over on his back.

"They're my pets. Why would I be scared of them?"

"Niecy..." Xeon pointed with a huge smile on his face that caused Xavier to smile. His little brother loved the girl, and Shanice enjoyed spending time with him, but their connection pissed Xylia off. She was jealous, and Zay thought it was funny.

"Xavier, he is so little! Why do you have him surrounded by those beasts? They can eat him...."

Xavier laughed, shaking his head. "No, they love him as much as they love me. Come sit with us." The girl quickly shook her head as Xylia walked up out of nowhere, pushing Shanice over on him, causing her to fall into his lap when Ace, one of his dogs, licked her in the face.

"They are good for nothing, pest. Big but babies and those are only half of the damn dogs his ass owns. Zay loves dogs, oh, and tigers. You should see the black tiger our Opa bought him two years ago for our birthday. She's beautiful, so I hope you're not afraid. Come on, Xeon, let the lovebirds talk... or kiss."

"Xylia! Give him back!"

"NO BIG HEAD! I haven't spent time with my little man, and I miss my brother. Go suck balls, asshole!" She laughed, kissing the top of Xavier's head as he petted Shanice with a smile causing the girl to cock a brow.

"Are you sure they aren't going to eat me?"

Xavier laughed as she scooted back more like she could go back anymore. All the dogs stared, but Ace, the puppy, decided to turn over on his back again for her to rub his stomach. Carefully Zavier moved Shanice's hand onto the dog for her to rub.

"They don't bite unless I tell them to. Cane Corsos and Great Danes are big babies. Although I have about every dog, you can name. These are the only four my mom lets stay in the house. She and my Dad have dogs. Plus, my dad breeds them. I begged for those four, and my sister has a cat."

"Your other siblings don't have animals?" Shanice spoke as she shook his head, watching as she continued to rub the puppy in front of them.

"No, quints aren't animal lovers... maybe I should say they had bad experiences with them. Avery, Harper, and Xeon enjoy the ones we have in the house. However, they like to run with me and then relax in the field when we are done."

"I like dogs... small dogs and cats are okay, just not in the house." She laughed. "But Zavier, are you okay? You don't have to hide your pain about Jasira. I didn't know her as you did, but it hurts losing someone our age and a friend... watching her body get put into a hole. Did you call her sister?"

Xavier stays quiet for a long while. He found out a lot of the things that Jasira told him were lies. Like about her dead sister, she was texting. Only to find out it was the man she had been sleeping with. He also found more disturbing shit on her phone, like how she was talking with Oriana and knew about what she was planning. Jasira was even in on that night. She sent him the picture, and Oriana knew she was going to do it. Everything she told him was lies.
