"What are you doing?"

"Evie, don't start with me. I need to clear my mind. I can't stay here." Riley spoke, running into her daughter on her way out of her bedroom. She needed to leave and get a piece of mind. Plus, she knew when she was unwanted.

"Clear your mind. So, you're just gonna run from your problems, mama. What about Xavier's wedding in a few days? What about us... dad?"

"Fuck your fucking dad! Your dad fucking cheated on me! And if he didn't fuck him still. I'm done with being his fucking shadow!"

"Shadow?? Mom, you are talking nonsense... and he did not! A few fucking kisses don't yell cheating, Mom! You know this, and it's rich coming from the woman that let another man stick his dick down her throat."

Before Riley knew it, her hand had when across her daughter's face, and all she did was stand there unfazed, waiting for her to say something. Little did that know this wasn't the first time their father did some shit like this to her, and what she did in the past or present did count because she made up for her mistakes. But what bothered her the most was her children, who were always on their father's side.

"Once a cheater, always a cheater. Your dad did this before."

"Yeah, and you did too. The difference is it was when you were our age Ma. Do you think Auntie Mel and Uncle Eli haven't told us about our parents' past? How you won't let go of our father even when he was doing you wrong. People do wrong, but to change their lives to be with the one person they love is a great step! Dad didn't cheat, but he probably has now. If you haven't noticed, Amoy is here, and she was sitting back watching, waiting for the perfect opportunity, and you just gave it to her. I know because it's what I would do. I'm no saint and care not about sleeping with another person, man or woman. Neither does she."

"Are you going to rub that in my face? Or do you think the shit is funny, Eva? The thought of your dad sleeping with another woman. It shows how much you care for me as your fucking mother!"

"NO! YOU WALKING OUT ON YOUR FUCKING FAMILY SHOWS HOW MUCH YOU CARE ABOUT YOUR DAMN CHILDREN AND HUSBAND. THE ONLY THING RILEY QUIANNA BROOKS-KÖHLER CARES ABOUT IS HERSELF! SO, WALK OUT! WALK OUT TO FIND YOUR FUCKING SELF! YOU'RE HURTING NO ONE BUT YOURSELF!"

Riley didn't know her children could be so harsh, but then again, she remembered that they were a part of her and Xerxes. Neither one of them cared whose feeling they hurt, especially if it wasn't family. Their kids were a different story. They did care if it was family or not. They spoke what was on their minds to everyone but their dad.

"It's not like that, Eva. I break every I touch lately... I thought your dad and I were never in a good place, then I started drinking."

"Excuses, mom! You told him to go fucking die that you fucking hated him! Everything you did was for attention; dad was doing his job as Don and a father. So, his little old spoiled-ass wife Riley wasn't getting the attention she needed. You envied us because we took away dad's time with you sometimes. What's sad is daddy had to be mom and dad half the time so you could do what you wanted. Travel the world for your modeling, clothing band, and more, but have the nerve to tell us that we are ungrateful and spoiled. We grew up, but our mother didn't."

"I'm not going to stand here and take this from my seventeen-year-old daughter. You know nothing, and you will never know anything until you witness it yourself. Tell your bitch ass father that I'm not sorry." Riley spoke, going straight for her baby son's room until Eva grabbed ahold of her wrist.

"What are you doing?"

"Getting my baby."

"You can leave all you want, but my little brother stays where he is at." She said, walking into the room ahead of her, taking Xeon from his bed, and then walking back towards the door. "I'm not telling my dad shit. If you want him to know you are leaving, you tell him." Eva finished as she left the room, disappearing into her own room without another word.
