Xerxes sighed, looking over the papers on his desk. He noticed the past few days; The Tiger had been doing nothing but attacking their shit. First, it was the warehouses, and from there, a few of their restaurants and killing a few dozen of their men along with it. They were blowing a lot of steam and hiding behind it. Their most serious attempt was at the restaurant; their leader still has not revealed themselves.
"Two more warehouses. This isn't random Xerxes; it's like they know what to go after and what not to. All the drugs and weapon warehouses but three of each, have been destroyed in China. It's fucking with our money and Tanaka's business."
"That much, I know, but it's hard to focus on them when we still have to look out for Madison. She isn't a big threat to you, but she is to me. Especially when she wants my fucking son. Shit, I fear that we are putting others in danger by doing this damn Christmas gala, but I know neither of us can skip out on it."
"Maddi isn't that fucking crazy. She knows not to come back into the county knowing we are looking for her bitch ass. Still, it doesn't mean she won't send someone in her place. Have everyone show ID." Eli said with a shoulder shrug. He seemed to be half asleep or not feeling well because he wasn't his normal self.
"You good little bro?"
"Headache. All this shit is giving me a fucking headache, and ever since the restaurant...." He stopped shaking his head as Xerxes noticed something wasn't right with his movements, although he was fine the day before. Without thinking, he stood, making his way over to his brother and lifting his shirt.
"What the fuck, man! I don't go that way, and you're my brother...."
"Elijah, what the fuck is this shit? Was this there yesterday when you and AJ were acting a damn fool? Or did it happen yesterday?" He asked, pointing at the man's bruised ribs which looked like internal bleeding. Elijah should know better than anyone what this could do since it almost killed Xerxes but still, the foolish boy stayed quiet about it.
"Did this happen back at the restaurant three days ago? Or was it recently?"
"I'm good X...."
"Elijah, your stupid ass has a broken rib and bleeding internally. Fuck... have you been having a hard time breathing? Don't damn lie to me!" Xerxes spoke as he quickly picked up a knife burning the end. Elijah tried to stand, but X pushed him back down and slid the blade across his brother's side, forming a small cut and sticking a freshly new straw into the hole, allowing Eli to breathe as blood flowed out.
"You always gotta be doing dumb shit, Elijah. Damnit, you have a fucking family, a wife, and kids. Hell, us your brothers, sisters, parents, and more that love you. If I didn't notice this, you could have died." Xerxes fussed as he texted Leon to take him to the clinic for x-rays to see how bad his broken ribs were.
"We're doing the Christmas charity early this year. Dad and I were discussing a toy drive for the children where they can meet Santa, and I talked the big bad Luca into being Santa Clause." X said, looking up at his brother as the man laughed.
"Now that I gotta see. Bro, I know I normally sit back and be quiet about the business, but I got to say this. We are the biggest mafia; maybe it's time to stand our ground."
"Meaning?"
"Take the head. Make all of the mafias bow to us. It was done once before, and it can be done again."
