Chapter 13: Confession

Jason POV

Eramis is leading me towards her quarters while till holding my hand. I have to have it lifted up a little in order to actually hold it but I don't mind. As we're walking I notice something about what the fallen civilians are holding.

They had blankets around then in bean shapes  held on a bandolier like strap and I just realized what those things are on the straps...It's fallen children

Jason:" Uh Eramis, are those baby Eliksni"

Eramis: " Yes we carry them like that in order to not use up much space"

Jason:" Ghost take a picture please"

Ghost:*click*

Jason: "thank you"

We continue waking towards a door that's still in Kells rising until we reach a ornate doorway decorated with banners on the sides and a complex arches. Eramis let's go of my hand and grabs a key from her waist and uses it to open the door.

Eramis:" This way"

I follow in front as we go though a corridor until we reach a massive bedroom. Along the walls it's decorated with symbols of the house of salvation along with other Eliksni type decoration. There's what looks like to be a couch made of fur pelt. There is a absolutely massive bed across from the entrance. And on the wall to the right  the bed there is a window looking out to the European expanse.

Safe to say this room is really nice.

Jason:" wow, nice room"

Eramis:" I've had most of this furniture before I became Kell"

Jason:" When you were the Ship-Stealer"

Eramis looks over to me with a surprised look in her eyes

Eramis:" How do you know of this?"

Jason:" I read up about your past before I came to Europa it was a codex about you"

Eramis:" Knowing your enemy?"

Jason:" yeah. Well before all this happened"

I hear a chuckle escape from her mask and she walks to the bed and sits down and pats next to her signaling me to sit.

The bed goes up to my chest so I have to pull myself up but I eventually sit down next to the 10-12 foot Kell.

Eramis:" There is something I wish to tell you guardian"

Jason:"what is it"

I'm getting nervous about this of this is what I think it means this may be good for once.

Eramis:" Decades ago I had a mate Athrys. She was great and we cared for each other. But one day she perished from an attack against us. I have since gotten over her, but I didn't feel anything for any of the men and women of the house. I thought I never would feel that way again and I was fine with that, that's until I met you"

My whole world stopped right there and I couldn't even believe it. I thought she would never feel the way I felt but I was proven wrong. Even with the different species thing I didn't care, even with the fact she uses the power of the darkness I didn't care. I have to listen to what more she has to say

Eramis:" you can in during my speech and simply waved at us, I thought it was a foolish move by either a very courageous man or a extremely stupid one. But then you spoke with me, you proved your loyalty and even swore allegiance to us."

Eramis:" I can't tell if you feel the same way about me guardian, but if you do I would want you to be at my side, so what do you think"

I say nothing as I take off my helmet and grab her hand with kind and squeeze it. She looks down at me and her eyes squint up as if she's giving a massive smile behind her mask. She then grabs me with her other arms and pulls me against her body. She grabs under my arms and lifts me up to be head level with her and she rests her forehead against mine.

Jason:" I've thought about you a lot Eramis, more than I'd like to admit"

Eramis:" You've made me soft and I don't like that"

Jason:" Well your stuck with me now so..."

She chucked and I lift my head away and look at her face. There's an open area of her skin underneath her set of eyes and that gives me an idea. She's still holding me by my armpits to keep me eye level with her so while I'm doing this I decide to take a chance. I take my hand and hold the left side of her face and move it slowly in a comforting motion.

I see her close her eyes and lean into my hand. Slightly pushing it and rubbing against it like a cat would. She opens her eyes and I can tell there something going on in her head.

She then fully grabs me and picks me up bridal style. She has both of her  set of arms holding my back and my legs. While I'm being held here I start to blush at the position I'm in. She gets up and walks to the back of the bed near the pillow. She has one of her 4 arms open up the blanket and set me down underneath the blanket.

I see her walk around and enter the bed from the other side of the bed and get under the covers with me.

Eramis:" I sense your tired you will sleep here"

Jason:"I'm okay with that"

I see her lean her head closer and I then hold the side of her head with my palm again and I hear her do something unexpected... she starts purring.

It's a very low purr and has a mechanical sound to it due to the mask, and it sound different from a cats purr but it definitely sound like one.  Eramis pulls me against her so I'm flush against her body and our faces out basically right next to each other. I see her head her head atop of mine and continue purring. I decide I should follow her orders and start to sleep but I can tell one thing already.

This is going to be my best sleep in a while
