Chapter 33: Absolutely Not!

Eramis POV:

I know he did not just say that

I know I didn't hear that

The... the audacity of this man to think he can take him away from me. Jason's not only my mate, he's also a great valued figure in House Salvation and we've all learned to accept him within our ranks. And for Mithrax so say he wants to take him away... absolutely not!

I start to clench my lower right hand into a fist. I see Mithrax turn his gaze over to my Jason and starts directing his conversation toward him.

Mithrax:" I've spoken to both Titan and Warlock vanguard and they disapprove of this arrangement you have with House salvation Guardian"

Jason:" You don't even know what they look like! How should we know your telling the tru-"

Mithrax:" the Titan is a bald Awoken male"

Jason:"Fuck"

Mithrax:"The Titan has said that he wishes for you to return to the tower if possible and to leave, House Salvation"

It's... it's happening again....

I knew that I couldn't get my hopes up, I promised myself since Athrys was taken away from me I'd never let it happen again. But I had to get close to him... a human no less. I- I guess this is the... best opinion if we want peace.... I- Im sorry Jason.

I let my head hang a bit lower as let my fist unclench and go slack

Jason:" No"

What?

Mithrax:" Excuse me... the vanguard has given an order. Aren't you supposed to follow orders from them Hunter?"

Jason:" First off, hunters don't really care. Second of all I'm not leaving here unless there's a war going on, or if Savathun finally shows herself"

He... he wishes to stay.

Mithrax:" I don't wish for conflict Eramis, it was just something the other guardians wished for"

Jason POV

This is going south very quickly. First Zavala wants me to leave Europa and I'm guessing help house of light or something. I thought there was an agreement to neutrality until Savathun showed herself. I guess Zavala wants to take his word back. I'll have to talk to him about this.

Jason:" Hold on what did they even say about this"

Mithrax:" The one named Osiris was the first to suggest your departure form Europa"

Osiris?

Jason:" Why the hell did Osiris say that?"

Mithrax:" We discussed it with the tower and the others who agreed were the ones named, Zavala, Saint-14, and Ana Bray

Mithrax:" I'm here on good terms guardian... I don't wish for this meeting to go south"

The sound of a hand punching down on the stasis table was the thing that's brought all of our attention to the noise. Eramis was glaring at Mithrax and her hand left a crater in the ice table.

Eramis:" YOU WONT TAKE HIM!"

The last time I heard her this mad was when Taniks cut off my arm. I get very scared when she normally is like this but for some reason I feel kinda nice that she cares about me this much.

Mithrax:"That scent... I know that scent... you've mated with him haven't you"

Eramis: "..."

Eramis: "yes"

Mithrax:"I knew that fire in your voice... it seems you've grown past Athry-"

Eramis:" Don't speak her name you murderer of your own kind"

Mithrax:" That's why your so protective of him... I see... we will withdraw from Europa and tell the Vangaurd of your reluctancy to leave guardian"

I'm very confused right now he just changed up so fast why... how...

Jason:"What?"

Mithrax:" I know of the desire to protect your mate... I want nothing to do with you Eramis and your darkness worshipers. But I'll spare you the feeling of losing one again"

And with that Mithrax used a transmat and was gone. Just like that

Jason:" what... happened???"

Kridis:" It seems we avoided war"

Eramis:" Yes... wait inside the ketch you 3. Jason you wait"

As they all vanish I see Eramis walk over to me before squatting down and she has a saddened look in her 2 eyes. I see her 4 arms reach out before wrapping themselves around my body in an almost defeated way. Like they just avoided something terrible.

Eramis: (sob) "I- I thought you'd be taken away from me by him"

I wrap my arms around her to the best of my ability and slowly stole along her back

Jason:"it'll take a lot more than him to get me"

Eramis:" The tower... you'd be betraying them if you insist on staying here"

Jason:" I'd rather be her with you"

That sent her into more sobs as she rested her head on top of mine. Her chin rested atop my hood, slowly moving side to side in a soothing way.

Jason:" I'll be ready for the consequences... let's just enjoy this moment "

Ghost:" Uh... incoming transmition from... Zavala"

Fuck... that was quick
