Chapter 7: New gear

Jason POV

After keeping her hand on top of mine for a few more minutes I feel Eramis lift her 3 fingered hand off mine. I let go of the railing and look up to her.

Eramis: "Let's go to your new quarters"

I nod and start walking with her my mind still in a bit of shock. The first person I hold hands with since coming back to life is a Fallen Kell. We pass more fallen on the way to my place and I see them bow slightly to Eramis out of respect I guess.

We don't speak to each other for quite a bit until we get to a door which says Eliksni quarters.

Jason:" this it?"

Eramis:" yes"

I nod and enter the doorway to see doors going down a hallway basically it looks like a hotel. We stop until we get to a room with the number 9 on it. She stops at it and signals me to open it. I step inside and am kinda shocked at how it looks like a normal hotel room but with Eliksni touches to it.

There is a kitchen but it's made of wood and has pieces of scrap metal hanging out of sides of things. There are no walls in the room it's just one big room. Aside from a door to what I guess is the bathroom. The bed has a base made of scrap metal and it's mattress looks like it's made of hide but it's still a bed. Everything has a kinda scrap look to it and I kinda like the ruggedness of everything.

Jason:" This my place then"

I look out to Eramis who has to bend over to look inside

Eramis:" Yes, I will be back to  give you your gear in an hour"

Jason:" New gear?"

Eramis:" Yes, you are a member of House of Salvation, you will be given more appropriate attire so we may not fire upon you if you were outside of Riis-Reborn"

I nod and sit down on the bed and look back at her

Jason:" Knock when your back I'm gonna take a nap"

She closes the door and I hear her thunderous footsteps fade away and I feel myself drift asleep with the final thought in my head being Eramis holding my hand.

Time-skip

I wake of from my sleep to hear ghost talking to me

Ghost:" Guardian we need to talk!"

Jason:" Yes ghost I told you, it was either help them out or you and I both get frozen. I also wanted a chance to try to help Humanity and Eliksni form better bonds".

Jason:" and besides, didn't you say you'd give me a job application to join them when we first arrived on Europa"

I start to smirk at him remembering his joke he said when we first arrived"

Ghost: *sigh* " if you really thing you can help both species out  Guardian, I'm here for you okay"

I give him a thumbs up and as I'm about to go back to sleep he says something else.

Ghost:" Uhm what was the deal with You and Eramis holding hands earlier"

I start to feel my face turn red and start trying to think of an excuse

Jason:" Uh I was cold and she uh... helped me!"

Ghost:" riiiiiight"

He disappears and I'm left a blushing mess. My face goes back to normal when I hear a loud knock at the door"

I walk over and open it to see Eramis there with a crate on the ground in front of her.

Eramis:" Open it up its your gear, I selected it based on your previous attire,"

Jason:" does it have a cloak?"

Eramis: "Yes"

Jason:" good,  I'll try it on give me a minute"

I pull the crate inside and close the door from privacy. I open it up with my knife and see a nice set of armor.

Blue, gray and white coloring which I'm a fan of. The chest piece seems to look like a Prodigal piece but it has some Eliksni symbols on the sides of the canisters. The legs have look like nothing I've seen before so I'm guessing this is purely original. The arms and the cloak are the really interesting parts though.

They have fur which blends into the cloak very well. It also has some bits of armor on the forearms which is kinda reminiscent of captains armor. And finally the cloak is really good looking. It's due and has some spikes on the head. And along the back of it it has the House of Salvation symbol along the back of it( It doesn't have it in game but just pretend the house symbols on the back of the cloak)

I take off my armor and put on the new set and realize something, there isn't s helmet. I then remembered that Bakris helmet I got so I guess that's the helmet I'm wearing with this. I put on the helmet and pull up the hood and look into the mirror.

Gotta admit the Fallen have some good choice of armor. I go to the door and open it up. I look up to see Eramis staring  down at me. She looks me up and down and I see her eyes form crescents like she's smiling.

Eramis:" Much better than that set you've got from the tower now is it. You could blend right in amongst the crowds."

I see her tilt her head and see her shake her head a bit

Eramis:" You've set up the cloak wrong that's now how you put it on"

She gets down on her knees and hunches over getting at eye level with me. She gets about 5 inches away from my face and put 2 of her hands on my face. I don't know what's happening and why she's getting this close.she twist my head around to see the hood of the cloak and finally speaks.

Eramis:" take off the helmet, we need to fix the cloak and set it up properly"

I take the helmet off and she then puts her hands back on my face. She gets really close again and starts rummaging around on the back of my hood and moves it around abit. She's so close I can feel her breath through her mask. Her hands feel warm and despite her size, her 2 other hands fixing the cloak are moving very gently.

Eramis:"Stop moving your head i can't fix it when you move"

After what feels like forever she finally gets it done and takes her hands away form my face and cloak.

Eramis:" much better now it's fixed. You will meet us at Praksis workshop tomorrow at sunrise, until the get some sleep and don't be late

She then walks away and disappears past the closing door. I stand there in shock about that whole ordeal. I actually kind liked having her that close with her hands on my head, but I push that though aside and step inside my room and fall on the bed.

My mind starts putting all these scenarios in my head that I have to put aside because I know that she will kill me if she found out about my thoughts. My final thoughts before I fall to sleep is Me and Eramis holding each other in our arms.
