Chapter 34: The H.E.L.M and Old Faces

Jason POV:

I let go of Eramis and tell ghost to open the transmission. I take off my mask of Bakris to have my voice travel better.He starts to glow and then expands before collapsing in and having the broadcast start going though him.

Zavala:" Guardian do you come in?"

Jason:" Yes, you have a lot to explain Zavala you know that right"

Zavala:" What do you mean Guardian"

Jason: "All the talk of you ordering me to leave Europa"

Zavala:" what?"

Jason:" Don't day what. Mithrax had told us that Osiris suggested to leave here!"

Zavala:" Guardian... that wasn't Osiris"

Jason:" What?"

Wait if that wasn't Osiris then what... huh... I have no idea what he's talking about now. I glance over at Eramis who was now leaning down beside me and looking over my shoulder at the Ghost. She looks as equally confused as me.

Zavala:" It wasn't Osiris... it was never Osiris it just wasn't him at the tower"

Jason:"who...who was it then"

Zavala:" Savathun"

My eyes go wide as I look back at Eramis and she looks a mix between not surprised and confused.

Jason: "Wait! Osiris was Savathun all along"

Zavala:" We... don't know yet... she's encased herself in a crystal like structure at the dreaming city. There is a teleport set in place at the H.E.L.M".

HELM? Guess that's something new that just came around.

Jason:" Wait that means... I'll be there I need to speak with her"

Zavala:"Understood, Zavala out"

I look back at Eramis who looks at me with concern. I quickly grab the sides of her helmet and press my forehead against her helmeted one. She wraps her arms around my body and hold me in a warm hug. She then let's go of me and looks down at me.

Eramis:"You'll return when finished!"

I haven't heard this tone since... earlier today with Mithrax. So it hasn't been that long at all.

Jason:" Yes ma'am"

Eramis:"Good... you belong here anyway, but anyways you go and find out some answers... for us"

Jason:" Promise... I'll be back when I'm done, I love you"

Eramis:" I love you to"

I quickly give her a kiss on the side of her helmet before I put my helmet back on and look over at Ghost to summon my ship. The ship quickly appears above us and makes my cloak move  due to the wind produced by it. The transmat activates and I enter the cockpit and put in the coordinates for this new H.E.L.M place.

Time skip

After about a few minutes traveling I see the H.E.L.M appear in front of me. I see how it looks like a satellite but it resembles a base as well. We arrive close enough to transmat into the interior. I look around and see the place is decently cozy, for a war base at least.

There's one long hallway leading forward to what looks like a semicircle table with a screen in the middle and there are 2 branching off pathways one to the right and one to the left. I hear a lot of voices from the right side and step down that way .I see Zavala, Ikora, Eris Morn, and Saint-14, and Ana Bray standing there talking with... Petra? Been a while since I've seen her face

I start to walk forward and they seem to notice me and Zavala steps forward and acknowledges my presence one the discussion has died down.

Zavala:" ah your here Guardian, come we have much to discuss"

I pass and join the group and step up with Zavala to the front with him to face Petra.

Petra:" It sure has been a while hasn't it Jason"

Jason:" Yeah it has"

Petra:" I wish it could have been under better circumstances... come she wishes to speak to you"

Jason:"Who?"

Petra:" The Queen"

Wait a minute the Queen... Shiiiiiiit

Zavala:" Everyone report back to the tower we will continue our discussion there"

Everyone nods before leaving except one person... Saint surprisingly approaches me and holds a hand to my shoulder.

Saint-14:"Please... find a way to get him free"

I nod to the ex Titan vanguard before he also leaves the room leaving me with only Petra Venj.

She motions her hand for me to follow her and I grumble lightly as she enters the portal. We arrive in a room that is very Awoken looking. I'm guessing it's somewhere in the Dreaming city by Zavala former explanation on Europa. I continue waking past some tables with symbols on some tablets and bookshelves. The scribes are here as well doing what looks like research.

Petra then stops and I look forward to see the exact person I wasn't very keen on seeing today. Mara Sov... the Awoken Queen.

Her looks stayed the same since I found out she was alive after I dealt with Uldren Sov back then. Her hair looks a bit more pale than normal. Her eyes however have that same degrading look to them like she's judging you constantly

Mara:"The King slayer himself... its a great pleasure to see you again"

Jason: (grumbles)"Cant say the same"

Mara:" always so quick to not trust me... this isn't the time for that Savathun wishes for you to talk"

I look behind her and see a giant crystal suspended above a podium and with a ritual circle around it. I enter the room and then I hear a booming voice that sound both intimidating but comforting at the same time. Must be a trick from the Hive god. I however see someone else there as well. Someone that must be a hunter due to the cloak and hood.

I've never seen them before cause I don't recognize that cloak they've got on. As I step in the room they turn around and everything seems to just stop right there. In front of me standing... alive
