Chapter 23: The Abomination

Jason POV

Taniks has started to walk towards me. His eyes are glowing and his arms are stretching out and balling up into fists. I start eyeing Atraks hoping she can see the fact I'm in a very big mess right now. She looks at me before her purple optics get a bit wider and she finally realizes what's about to happen.

Atraks-1:"Taniks stand down! He's with the Eliksni now"

He gets right up in front of me and I look up to see him starting down at me. I look behind him to see Atraks about to slide the teleported to me so we can get out without any trouble. As she starts to slide it I feel Taniks right arm punch me right in the face. The punch sends me back against the wall and break right through it.

The teleport went off, unfortunately Atraks was already on one and we used the last one we had. Looks like it's just me against this guy.

Jason:" I know we had our differences, but I am allied with the House of Salvation now Taniks, you don't have to do this"

Taniks:" But I will"

He lunges at me sending me flying though a wall and into an outside area with what looks like some platforms leading to vehicles and snow falling from the sky. I get off the ground and decide I'm done with this eternal annoyance. I unholster my Erianas Vow and look to where he was when he knocked me through the door.

Jason:" Where are you Taniks? We've done this dance before may times and it all ends the same"

Silence

I start to run around looking for where he could possibly be. Until I hear what sounds like machines moving and compressing something big. I hear some hydraulic presses and the sound of metal scrapping against each other. I head toward the sound and I'm met with a sight I wouldn't have expected.

I at least know what the sound of metal scrapping was. How did he even find a way to do this that fast? I don't think I wanna know, his lower body had been replaced by a giant Shank and he now has a rocket launcher.

Jason:" What the hell?"

I see him take aim and fire the scorch cannon at me. I dodge away from it before I throw down an ice wall grenade. I hide behind it and look over one side and start to fire at him.

Taniks:"I AM TANIKS!"

The wall is broken apart by the scorch cannon and I know this is getting serious now. I decide to use my Silence and Squall scythes so I jump up focus my energy, and throw it at him. He gets frozen and I start taking shots with my hand cannon. It runs out a bit sooner than normal which is weird and he screams before he fires another couple rockets at me.

I get hit so I hide behind some cover and heal. While he's chasing after me I feel the ground begin to shake and I get thrown off my balance and fall to the ground. I've been getting used to the European climate but I'm still not used to the tremors.

I realize their is something interfering with me being able to use my Stasis effectively down here and my guess it's something to do with that pod Taniks came out of. I stop my daydreaming when I see another rocket come towards me. I grab my Erianas Vow while I'm still on the ground and fire a shot at the side of the Shank he's on top of. I get a hood hit on him but not before taking a direct impact on my left arm.

I get sent back and I feel a immense pain throughout my body, but it's mostly coming from my arm. I try to grab the ground so I can push off and get on my feet but I feel something. Well I felt something missing I should say

I look down at my left arm to see...nothing. My arm is gone, all that's left is a bleeding stump shredded my the explosion and shrapnel. I look to my left in pure panic and see my left arm laying there burnt and shredded. My Brian realizing I lost a limb only makes the pain I'm feeling so much worse.

I scream in pain and grip my stump and feel tears start to go down my face behind my helmet. I look back at Taniks to see him start to get back up from his daze and take aim back at me.

He's only stopped when his scorch cannon gets completely frozen by another person. I see a shape of a figure lunge at him and rip his frozen arm off. I realize who the figure is, it's Eramis and she just saved my life at the last second.

Eramis: " You will defile the House of Salvation no more!"

She lets out what sounds like a war cry before she freezes his head and grips it with all 4 arms. She proceeds to rip it off. After her display of skill and violence is done she immediately looks over to me to see my huddled over holding my left shoulder. She then looks down to see the arm sitting there and her eyes go wide.

Eramis:" No........... not again...... not- again"

She sprints over to me quickly taking me in her arms and holding me by the back of my head, my back, and another hand putting pressure on my missing arm and cradles me. She picks me up and places down a transmat.

Eramis:" please, come back to me"

That's the last thing I hear before I succumb to my blood loss and pass out.

A/N: There's this chapter done with, I just wanted a fun way to kill Taniks off since the bastard doesn't seem to take a hint. I have plans for the missing arm in the future and I hope you like the idea of it. Until next chapter peace.
