Chapter 58||| After the Storm

Everything was dark, I heard whispers throughout the day, I would gain consciousness every once in awhile but instantly lose lose consciousness again.

Until finally after what seemed like days when in reality it was hours, all my senses were coming back to me. After a couple of minutes, my eyes adjusted to the bright light. I used my elbows to prop myself to get into a sitting position.

"You alright, Y/n? How are you feeling?"
"Doing a lot better. Thank you."

Shiro smiled and hugged me tightly, I smiled as I hugged him just as tight. I couldn't help but chuckle and smile to myself.

"Alright, alright not too tight before I start dying again."

After I was given some time to adjust the team caught me up with what happened. The Oriande and everyone almost dying with me.

"Before you leave, or do anything," Kara stopped me and gestured at Alina.

"Haggar's magic was so intertwined with your powers that it changed them in way."
"Okay...?"

Alina looked over at Kara and gave a nervous smile.

"I'll let her explain."
"You did great kid. Well to put it bluntly, we don't know how much they changed. All we know that, your power has only gotten more powerful and destructive."
"Uhh but it won't hurt your body like what happened today!"

Alina added with a nervous smile, I let out a smile and sighed."That's something I can manage." I said but didn't really care about that, what happened in my "dreams" was still fresh in my mind and I couldn't get my mind off of it.

Some more time passed as Allura spoke about what she saw and explained what the next step was. She told Coran to head to the Galra HQ, Allura looked over at Lotor with a smile as he explained that they are one step closer to the era of peace. "I would have never even known of Oriande without you, and therefore could have never unlocked its secrets, and of course save Y/n." She gestured towards me and I just gave a small nod. Lance rolled his eyes as Allura and Lotor kept smiling at each other.

Everyone left towards the control room getting ready to depart to the Galra HQ until Kara stopped me and Shiro.

"Paladins I'm telling you now, be careful. Y/n, you may seem alright now but we suggest to not use your powers for awhile. We still don't know what damage this may cause to your body."
"Awww, you actually do care about me."

I said jokingly when she pulled a knife on me, I laughed and whispered just kidding. The twins left the room and I let out a sigh of relief.

We all walked in as a group into the Galra main control center. I was able to work again and feel almost like myself again. Slowly but surely I was getting there.

"Maybe we can—" Shiro spoke when a women had interrupted him.

"Lotor." She spoke out with a cold tone in her voice, it caused everyone to get a chill down their spine. Lotor's face was hit with instant realization as he figured out who it was, he was shocked then immediately turned into disappointment then despair.

"Oh, no..." he whispered under his breath as he turned towards me with a look on his face. I was confused, placing my hands on my hips I made a confused expression on my face.

"Uh...who the hell are you?"
"How dare you speak to me without authorization from Blood Emperor Lotor."
"Ow!"

The woman had a stick-like object in her hand that she hit Lance with, I looked at her trying to figure out who this woman was, until I realized who it. My eyes widen as I slowly side stepped to hide behind Shiro so hopefully she wouldn't recognize me. He looked at me confused as he let out a small chuckle.
