Chapter 32||| Sneaking Out

Y/n's P.O.V
Location: Castle of Lions, 6 in the morning

I was in the control room alone, it was nice to be alone. I looked out at the stars and saw them slowly pass by, I couldn't help but just stare at them.

I was awake before everyone else, they all usually wake up at 7 or late 9 am. But today I was first awake, I couldn't sleep nor did I try to go back to sleep.

Taking a deep breath I started to remember my past, it's always okay to look back it but not dwell on it too much.

~Flashback~
Location: Military Base back on Earth, 12 pm

Me and my brother were getting ready for a monthly parent visit. I was 12 or 11 and he was 8, we were both very excited to see them.

"Follow me." A man came into the room, he looked at us then turned around and started walking. We both followed keeping in our excitement. It was easy for me but for my brother it was hard.

"It's in there, have a nice day boys." We both walked into the room. We saw both of our parents, they were wearing lab coats and goggles but mom was wearing normal glasses.

We both ran to them and gave them a big hug. We all laughed as they looked down at us and smiled with tears in their eyes, "It's nice to see you Y/n, Noah."

I smiled at that memory, those monthly visits were something that kept me going. My brother was also a big help, he gave me hope on surviving another day.

I hugged myself as I continued to look up at the sky, I couldn't help but smile as I closed my eyes.

~Another Flashback~
Location: Military Base, 3 pm

I was 17 at the time, my brother was 12. We had finished all of our training and tests for the day so we were in our room. Noah was telling me about an activity called, "singing", apparently a lot of people do it.

He seemed happy to tell me about and I was happy to hear about it, when the door opened. A man with military uniform had walked in, we both stood up and put our hands to our side looking straightforward.

"Patient 2-2ane301, come with me." I watched as Noah was walking towards the man, I was confused not knowing what was going on.

"But sir, he had completed his training and his tests, what do you want with him?"
"Don't raise your voice at me young man, your brother will be fine."
"I- No! Stop!"

I was about to grab Noah but he stopped me, he smiled at me and then chuckled.

"You're overprotective L/n, I'll be fine. I promise."

They both walked out. I held onto those words and sat in the middle of the room waiting.

I didn't hear anything about him for 2 days. They left me in this room, for 2 days. My throat was dry, my stomach was empty and with no brother, I couldn't speak.

"I'm sorry," A man said as the door opened and looked down. He then left as soon as he appeared but he had dropped some papers on the floor, I crawled to them and read the paper.

"This can't be- no"

I felt tears fall down my face, I touched my face and immediately wiped my tears. I looked at my wrist, I then covered my wrist with my other hand and tried to take in a big deep breath.
