Chapter 27||| Old Roots

Location: Planet Krylor, ???pm

The Paladins, including Y/n, were in a market place in the planet Krylor looking for an item that would make the castle's shields stronger.

Y/n had his elbow resting on Shiro's shoulder as he was talking to Lance. They were joking around making each other laugh and telling jokes.

"That wasn't even funny," Y/n said while chuckling.

"Then why are you laughing?" Lance said while putting his hands on his hips looking smug.

Keith and Shiro looked at both boys and smiled to themselves, Shiro kept looking at Y/n while blushing a light pink. And Keith was looking at Lance while smiling secretly.

Pidge noticed and cleared her throat looking at Shiro and Keith. Shiro noticed that he got caught and rolled his eyes while smiling, Pidge smirked while looking at him which was soon joined in by Hunk.

"We should split into groups if we're gonna find this device." Shiro said as his whole face was red and trying not to make eye contact with Y/n.

"I'll go with Lance," Y/n said as he took his elbow off Shiro's shoulder. Lance nodded and they both gave each other a high five.

"The rest of you can go into pairs, well we're off!" Lance claimed as winked at them and took Y/n's hand and walked off. Y/n just smiled and waved goodbye, mostly to Shiro but still waved bye.

Shiro watched as Lance grabbed Y/n by the hand and leave, for some reason it caused Shiro to get in a bad mood.

"Let's go Shiro," Keith said as he continued to walk straight ahead while Pidge and Hunk left to check out the left side of the market place.

"You seem mad," Keith said smirking while walking.

"I'm not mad, I have no reason to be mad." Shiro said as he was looking around while Keith just shook his head while smiling.

"What are we looking for again?"
"A booster for the Castle's Shields, Lance."
"Got it."

Y/n was looking for it with Lance. They kept talking and making jokes having the time of their life's.

As Y/n turned around he felt a sharp pain in his shoulder. He grabbed his shoulder when a strange man bumped into his arm.

"I apologize." The man said as he walked off, he was wearing a cloak that covered his face so Y/n couldn't see the man's face entirely.

"What was that?" Lance said putting his elbow on
Y/n's shoulder.

"I don't know, it was probably nothing."

They both shrugged the encounter off and continued to look for the object. But if someone was up close to Y/n's shoulder you could see a tiny needle in his shoulder, the needle wasn't that big so you didn't give a second thought to it unless you looked at carefully.

After an hour of looking they found what they were looking for. They were all in the castle having a little peace and quiet time. They just finished installing the device so they were all happy with themselves.

Everyone was in the living room talking and having a good time even Keith was with the team chilling out.

Allura was teaching Y/n how to braid Alina's hair.
Y/n just laughed at himself when he would do something wrong, but eventually he got the hang of it and made a French Braid with Alina's hair.
