Weight of Words

The Ending

She thought they'd be together forever.
That their love could withstand any weather.
The storms that proved her to be wrong.
All the love that there was, is gone.

She thought being together meant, when two become one. All her ideas of love being chivalrous, are just done.

All she sees in him, a liar and a cheater.
She wishes now that, he'd never met her
She wonders if out there could be anything better?

He's ruined her trust and broke her spirit.
All his excuses and apologies..
well, she doesn't need to hear it.

It's going to take a miracle
to make her believe again.
If that's ever possible,
only God knows when.
