I've never heard silence quite this loud.
All my thoughts seem to drown out.

Rip from me, my heart from my chest.
Leave me alone in all my bitterness.

I'll wear my scars, laid out for show.
Let strangers ponder, they don't need to know.

What I'm going through isn't new to me.
I've been here many times before,
So just let me be.

Within this darkness, there's small light.
I've clung to it, held it to me, so very tight.

Within this storm, I can stand.
I never really needed somebody before.
I don't need anyone to hold my hand.
