The Final Lie

The day I caught him red handed...
Broken, I fell to the floor,
I couldn't stand it.

After all the denials and all the betrayal.
Nothing could fix us anymore.
Our marriage got sidetracked in Hell.

He played with my emotions,
he said he was a weak man.
He broke his vows in single slip of a moment.

He lied to me about the situation.
Made it seem much less, just conversations.

If it weren't for me finding the texts.
I wouldn't have had a clue.
My heart stopped beating,
praying for it not to be true.

All the happy memories fading from my eyes.
Every secret he held, every single lie brought to life.

He had broken me more than he will ever know.
Because I won't let him see,
I will refuse to let it show.
