What She Can't Have

She's not his type..
She wants so much to be.
She tries and tries, but he'll never see.

She will never tell him all the things she feels.
He'll never get to hear it because to him this isn't real.

No matter if she thinks with time, maybe he'll start to feel the same. She hates that she feels this way,
her heart takes all the blame.

She pushes away, trying to keep her distance.
The minute he makes her laugh,
the longing is almost instant.

Then she sadly reminds herself,
she's not his type.
Not to live with false hope
and to quit wondering why.
