Mess in Heels

She strolls into work a complete wreck.
Still wearing last nights makeup, her appearance
looking like she had lost a bet.

Her hair a curly blonde mess, her dress too tight, and too high of heels she can hardly walk in.
Her chaotic mind showing, why bother with stopping?

She slumps over in her chair, no mind to take off the sunglasses. People passing judgement because they're all complete asses.

She reaches for her coffee like it's her long lost friend.
She can't do shit until the caffeine kicks in.

Always her well put together self,
clearly absent today, she's a far cry from help.

She bangs her head down against her desk with a little growl, hoping it will scare her coworkers and keep them all the hell out.

She flings off her sunglasses looking in a small mirror.
Last nights makeup look that was hot,
now looks like a smudged mess of something that is certainly not.

She rubs her temples dreading the painful thoughts that will surely be coming. She can't hide from them now, there's no sense in running.

Taking a deep breathe, she pushes it all away.
There's nothing more to this situation, nothing more to say.

She reaches for her phone and decided on a playlist.
At least music keeps her some what sane and helps her to forget.

Hangovers are a bitch
