52- More Than Friends

" I think we're more than friends"

We're now in the beginning of April. I was getting more important matches, and will even eventually be in course for a title. Things were great to sum up. Scott and I were talking trying out to WWE, but for now it was just more like a joke than anything else. I had also gotten closer to Colby, so close in fact, that we had a date tonight. And not like a meet up for coffee kind of thing. A real date. I was getting dressed, more nervous than ever. Scott has been teasing me about that all fucking day, but not in a mean way. He has also been seeing a girl lately, hence spending less time at the apartment. I walked down the stairs and met Colby in the living room. He just looked at me and smiled widely.

" Have a safe night you two." Scott said. "Don't forget condoms, wouldn't want kids right now would we ?"

" Why do you sound like a father when you're only 3 years older than me ?" I responded.

" Ouch, that hurts my feelings you know." He teased. "Have fun."

He smiled at us and we left the flat, to Colby's car. We had settled on a restaurant and then a walk outside. Until now, the ride had been pretty silent, until he broke it.

" You look really beautiful tonight you know." He said softly.

" Why, thank you." I blushed. "I didn't do anything out of the extraordinary."

" Doesn't matter, you always look breathtaking to me."

I was blushing so hard It felt like my cheeks would literally burn and turn to ashes. I tried to give him a compliment too, but it sounded more like I was searching for air, and words. We arrived at the restaurant, and he opened the door for me. He checked in his reservation and a waiter led us to our table. We ate and talked during all the dinner. That's what I like the most about Colby, he makes me feel like I've known him for years. I was hesitant about going on dates with him at first, because I didn't want him to be replacement for Phil. But I figured it out now. I know Phil will always have a special place for me, he was my first love, and my first well, basically everything. But I have to move on now, he doesn't love me like he used to, and I've found someone that likes me, and that I like a lot as well.

" You seem lost in thoughts, is everything okay ?" Colby asked fondly.

" Yes, everything is finally perfectly fine." I smile. "How about we go for that walk ?"

He smiled at me and got up. I had to fight to pay for my meal, but who can win against Colby Lopez's puppy dog eyes. We walked along the Chicago River for an hour and a half, before it started getting too cold. Right before I was about to open the door to get in his car, he spun me around and planted a kiss on my lips. I was very startled at first, but I was also liking it very much. I put my hands on his back, indicating that I didn't want him to break the kiss just yet. When we finally parted, he tugged me to his chest and held me tight, his head right next to mine.

" I spent a wonderful evening." He hummed.

" I did too, thank you Colby." I smiled.

" I should be the one thanking you." He looked at me, eyes sparkling. "Now let's get you home before you catch a cold."

I got in the passenger seat, and he drove us back to the apartment, his hand sometimes resting a bit over my knee. He always made sure I wasn't uncomfortable by throwing little glances at me every now and then.

Of course, when we got home, we got teased, and by that I mean it like a whole lot of teasing. We later on decided that we were a couple, and wouldn't be hiding it. We're in a small agency, people barely know us, I don't think this'll be a problem.

The next few months went on perfectly. I was living the best life I could have ever hoped for. I got the chance to see 5 Seconds Of Summer in Baltimore, and promised myself I would have to go see them as often as I could in America. I introduced Michael to Colby, since he's my best friend and has always been one, if not the most important person in my life. They hit it off pretty well, which reassured me. Then came my birthday, and I was finally legal in the US. Scott was planning on taking an apartment with his girlfriend, which led Colby and I to think about doing the same. We haven't been together for that long, but we've been friends before, and I don't know, it didn't seem that weird to us. Yeah, everything was going right in my life, until that letter. The letter I thought would kill me.
