"Hey little monster, I've got my eye on you"
Royal Blood
"So hey, it would be cool to know a little more about Demi." Michael asked as we were all sitting at dinner and just with that, I knew the bastard had something in mind. "So you come from Adelaide right?" She nodded with a smile. "And how in hell do you manage to travel with that monster everyday!"
"As if you weren't the biggest pain in the ass Michael Clifford." I rolled my eyes.
"I really enjoy working, and traveling with Roxanne yeah." She said, shooting me a soft smile. Shit, was I really into guys only? "I feel like we've connected really fast, and we're similar on so many points."
"Ah, see, at least someone here likes me the way I am." I stuck my tongue at him. "Thank you Demi, you're so sweet." I pouted slightly at her.
The guys and Demi had a few drinks throughout the evening, and soon the question started getting a little more personal.
"So, have you dated a lot?" Ashton asked, probably in on Michael's plan. "Roxanne has like the worst dating history ever, I wanna know if she can be beaten."
"Oh, erm, no, not really?" She played with her fingers nervously. "I had, like, a boyfriend in high school, like everyone I guess haha." She gulped, as if she was pondering continuing her sentence or not. "But yeah, it didn't last very long, and I discovered I'm more into girls to be honest. Even though I never dated anymore, because of work and everything." Her usually bright face turned into a sad smile, and I felt my heart clench.
"Oh, I'm sorry I asked." Ashton said softly. "I didn't want to make you sad or anything."
"Oh no, don't worry about that!" She reassured him. "I'm fine with it, I know dating in this industry is hard. And I'm kind of happy of not having a worst history than Roxanne."
"Hey! Why are you attacking me, I didn't say anything." I punched her shoulder playfully. "I only had like what, 3, bad experiences, come on."
"3 bad experiences, out of 3 dating experiences." Luke scoffed.
"Shut up you, you're one of the bad experiences!" I shit him a death glare, and the table erupted in laughter.
We spent the rest of the evening laughing together, and around 2 a.m, Demi and I hit the road back to our hotel, to get some well deserved sleep. It was always hard leaving the boys, because I never really knew when I was going to see them again, but having Demi with me sure made it hurt less. It really felt like I had someone I could count on in any circumstances, and I think that this was a big thing that I lacked in my relationship with Colby. But why am I talking like Demi and I are a thing. Shit, I have to stop questioning my sexuality. I've never liked girls before, and I'm 22, I'm not going to be questioning it now. All the people I know that thought about it did so when they were in their teens. But why can't I stop thinking about her like that?
"Roxanne, you okay?" Demi's tired voice startled me.
"Y-yeah, just lost in thoughts that's all." I smiled to reassure him. "I hope you had a good night, and that you don't regret spending a night off with my friends and I."
"Of course not!" She yawned. "It was absolutely amazing, they're funny, and I like all the time I can spend with you."
I smiled to myself, and parked the car as close as I could to the hotel. We went to our room pretty fast, and got prepared to bed. I slipped under the covers, and Demi did as well a few minutes later.
"Oh, and, I did not thank you for earlier." She smiled a little. "So thank you. I was too petrified, like I was so scared to punch him and lose my job, that I didn't do anything."
"It's okay, don't thank me. I'm sure you would have done the same for me. And I kinda liked saving a damsel in distress." I winked at her and she chuckled. "I care about you you know. Like a lot?"
"I care about you a lot too Roxanne." She smiled, her eyes already closing. "Thank you for bearing with me. I love you."
