"In this hell you are my paradise"

Motionless In White

One day away from Wrestlemania. Tomorrow was going to be the biggest night of our lives, and frankly, I didn't even know if I was ready for that. Stress was overpowering my body, and even the perspective of seeing my friends tonight for a rehearsal was not enough to ease my anxiety. Demi was doing everything she could, as the sweetheart she was, being all soft and loving towards me. We even had Phil come out and give us tips for the big night. As much as it was helpful, it made everything even more real and stressful. Phil had insisted in taking us out for lunch on Friday, claiming we needed the day of rest, to be at our very best tomorrow. We were getting ready at home with Demi, before heading towards the place he had sent us the address too. As we stepped into the small restaurant, I quickly recognized a very familiar face next to Phil.

"Oh my god Scott!" I squealed and rushed to him, directly hugging him. "I've missed you so so much"

"Roxy baby" He hugged me back. "I missed you too, I'm so happy to see you, and so proud of you! Phil got me ticket for Wrestlemania, to see you and.." He asked.

"Demi!" She intervened, with a smile.

"Demi, right there, have the greatest night of your lives." He smiled again at me. "How come you've changed that much?"

"Oh shut up, I have not!" I chuckled and noticed Demi standing a bit farther. "Except for my taste in partners."

I blushed a little and grabbed Demi's hand softly. We had talked about this yesterday, and I asked her if she'd let me tell my close friends. She agreed we tell the people we trust with this, not wanting to be out in the open just yet.

"I guess I have a girlfriend now?" I smiled a little, and Scott came to hug me as tight as ever.

"I'm so happy for you girls" Scott said cheerfully. "Phil told me about Colby actually. I'm sorry Roxanne, I really thought he was a decent guy."

"I thought that too, yeah." I sighed. "But that's okay, I guess I was meant to be with someone else." I smiled at Demi softly. "But can we change the subject? I see him enough as it is, I don't want him to ruin our big weekend."

"Of course yeah" Scott smiled as he sat down. "Get everything you want girls, it's my treat. Take it as a "congratulations for winning" in advance. Because I most definitely know you will."

"What about me?" Phil whined.

"Are you going to have your first Wrestlemania match tomorrow? Yeah, no, I don't think so."

Spending time with Scott was always a relief. He was funny and easy to talk to. For a long while, he was really the only person in could trust, and confide in, and he still felt like a huge part of my life. So having him here today, and tomorrow, for the biggest night of my life, it just felt so right. Soon after, I had to leave to the venue, to rehears one last time with the band, before tomorrow's soundcheck. Demi accompanied me, claiming she'd have nothing to do in the apartment.

"And here she is, the superstar." Calum exclaimed as we stepped into the room. "Oh, and Roxy, you're here too!"

"Haha, real funny Calum Hood." I shot him a glare, and heard Demi chuckle. "Oh please, don't encourage him." I sighed.

"You know we're playing you." Luke smiled.

"Poor choice of words coming from you." Michael snickered, and Luke blushed. "How are you feeling girls?"

"Stressed, to say the least." I smiled. "But excited, definitely. Kind of bummed that my mom won't be here, but she told me she'd watch all of it live with the rest of the family, so that's okay I guess."

I felt Demi's hand tighten on mine, and I brushed my thumb over her fingers. Her family was supposed to be here today, but because of a delayed, and then canceled flight, they wouldn't be able to make it. I know it hurt to her, since she's really close to her family. I kissed her temple softly, before making the last adjustments with the boys.

After that, we went to get pizza, and all piled up in my studio. Being with them helped us take our minds off things, and just be carefree for a little while, before the pressure started crushing us back, almost as soon as they left. I got prepared to go to bed, and joined Demi under the covers. I heard her sigh loudly.

"Is everything okay Dem's?" I asked softly, slowly stroking her ribs.

"I don't know." She turned around to face me, her eyes teary. "Do you ever doubt everything?"

"Oh baby, what's going on?" I sat up against the wall, and she placed her head on my lap.

"I don't know." She closed her eyes for a second. "It's just, I know I've worked so hard to get there, but sometimes, I wonder what life would've been if I had stayed at home? Sometimes I feel like I'm going insane, like I abandoned everyone that meant shit to me."

"You did not abandon anyone love, I can guarantee that." I stroked her hair a little. "And your family is so proud of you. I'm so proud of you." I smiled and paused for a moment. "You're stressed, and all the over-thinking about tomorrow is getting to your head. I promise you won't be asking yourself any of this tomorrow night. You deserve everything good that's happened to you. You worked your ass off to get where you are. And I'm so sorry your family can't be here baby."

"You don't have to be." She smiled a little. "They'll be watching me, just like your mom will." She thought for a moment, and chuckled.

"What's going on in your mind?" I inquired, a little smile on my face.

"I just pictured like, both our families in my living room, screaming at the TV." She smiled. "We should introduce them to each other, don't you think?"

"Well, only of we stay a tag team." I snickered. "My mom's the competitive type, and I can't risk her screaming at the TV if you're against me."

We both laughed at the scene for a little while, before falling asleep, curled up against each other, our minds feeling more at ease before our big day.

//To everyone reading this, I'm so sorry for the lack of updates lately. Right after my finals week, I had to deal with my grandfather passing away, and to be honest, writing hasn't been my priority. I will try to give you regular updates back though.

Thank you, and I love you all.
