After a week went by Alexis was sitting in Hershel's cell helping him clean his wound again. He watched how she cleaned, wrapped and tied his pant leg closed, she looked up at him with a smile. "You're a good nurse you know?" He asked, patting her shoulder.

"I'm not a real nurse, technically I didn't pass my test yet so I'm not a nurse." Alexis chuckled, cleaning up the supplies.

Hershel looked at the girl with a smug look, "It's a different world now, there's no more tests, or degrees. It's the trust that the people around you have in you and the group trusted you enough to save me." Hershel grabbed his bag and handed her a picture of Hershel and a horse. "This is one of the horses I saved before the outbreak. My neighbor didn't know who to go to so he came to me, he trusted me enough to save his horse. His confidence in me helped me save him, it gave me hope, that's all it takes, just a little bit of hope goes a long way."

Alexis looked at Hershel with a smirk, "You're so wise." Then she stood up when Beth, Lori and Carl entered with crutches.

"Just take your time." Lori explained, holding the crutches.

When he tried to stand up Beth spoke, "Daddy don't push yourself."

Hershel chucked and stood up using the bed as support, "What else and I going to do?" He asked, taking hold of the crutches. "I can't stand looking at that bottom of that bunk anymore." He said, almost falling over but Lori, Beth and Alexis caught him. He took a second and pressed down on the crutches making them tap on the ground. "You know, I think I'm pretty steady." Then he moved out of his cell.

"That's a good start, wanna take a rest?" Lori asked.

Hershel chuckled, "Rest? Let's go for a little stroll." He said moving to go outside, everyone followed the man making sure he doesn't fall on his "little stool."

When they got outside Alexis noticed cars were moved and placed inside the fences. "Just watch your step the last thing we need is you falling." Lori said, as Hershel looked around the new environment since he's been trapped in a cell for the past week.

Everyone noticed Hershel outside and smiled, "All right Hershel!" Glenn screamed from afar.

"You're doing great daddy." Beth said, watching her fathers feet making sure he doesn't step on anything.

"Ready to race Hershel?" Carl asked, making the small group chuckle.

"Give me another day." Hershel said, smiling down at the boy. "I'll take you on."

Everyone stood watching Hershel as he took in fresh air, for a second everyone was smiling at the lucky man, for one second everyone could stay calm and try to make this prison a home.

For one second, until Carl turned around and screamed, "WALKERS! LOOK OUT!"

Alexis took out her knifes running up to the walkers giving the group time to run, "Get Hershel out of here!" She yelled, kicking a walker down. Lori helped the girl by shooting the ones that got close to her. T-dog, Maggie and Carol joining.

Alexis tried to thin the heard but there was too many. A walker grabbed her pushing her down, her knifes falling a few feet away. She pushed as hard as she could but the walker was stronger getting closer to her neck trying to bite her, but she wasn't dying today. Alexis pushed with all her strength getting the walker off her, she crawled to her knife just in time for another walker to fall on her, she stabbed it in the eye blood falling on her face making her close her eyes and mouth while she pushed it off her crawling away from the other walkers. "ALEXIS!" a voice yelled behind her.

Lexa pulled the girl up Dylan not too far behind her, swinging an axe into walkers head as Lexa helped the girl up. A group of walkers surround the three as they form a little formation. Lexa knew her bow wasn't the best for this situation so she pulled out her pistol taking the walkers down until she was out, pulling out her hatchet. Dylan sung his axe taking our a few while Alexis was kicking walkers back as much as she could until Glenn, Rick and Daryl came to help. "What the hell happened?" Rick asked, looking up at Beth and Hershel.
