"Play fair. Don't hit people. Say you're sorry when you hurt somebody." - Robert Fulghum
I wish I could say sorry,
It's on the tip of my tongue,
But you hurt me a lot,
And your harsh words stung.
Sorry isn't good enough,
But I'll try to say it all the same,
I'm sorry I made a mistake,
And I don't mind taking the blame.
I wish I could turn back time,
Where I didn't need to say this,
I'm sorry we gave up too quickly,
But it's too late to reminisce.
I'm sorry I didn't let you go,
I'm sorry I pushed you low,
I'm sorry I didn't let you know,
I'm sorry I gave the deathblow.
