Morgan's POV

I picked the lock on my window again, and am sitting on my window with my legs dangling outside again.

I wonder if a bird flew in here would they be angry.

How would I explain that? It climbed out of the toilet. No, that's rats. I remember one time my uncle killed a rat that was in his shed with a hammer.

Turns out it was the neighbour's ferret that escaped. I ugly cried when he told the story in the family group chat. I also bought a new ferret and told the neighbours we found it in the shed. I didn't have the heart to tell them.

I smile, breathing in the fresh air as a gust of wind blows my hair all crazy.

I look down at the ground, making sure no one sees me. It's dark outside, and quite difficult to see. Therefore the guards at the gate haven't noticed me yet. However, I do notice a very familiar set of white hair on the ground.

Sage is standing with his back turned as he talks on the phone. Please don't turn around. Please don't turn-

He turns.

I quickly get back inside, falling in the process. "Fuck" I groan, clutching my elbow that I hit hard off the floorboards.

I stretch my arm up, closing the window. I try to lock it without showing my face through the window, but eventually, I have to stand up to lock it.

I nervously look back out the window, seeing Sage is gone.

That should be a good thing, but I have a feeling it's not.

He wouldn't?- no.

He wouldn't come up here, right?

Shit.

I quickly close my curtains, before running over to the door and switching off the light. I then get back into my bed, covering my body in the covers as I pretend to be asleep.

After a minute, I peek open one eye. "I'm being ridiculous" I mumble, staring up at my ceiling.

"He's not going to do anything. He's too scared-"

I'm interrupted by a knock on the door. A single quiet knock.

I stare at the door, horrified.

"Go away!" I shout, before smacking my hand against my forehead. Why the fuck did I say that?! Now he knows I'm here.

But after a few seconds and I hear nothing, I begin to think it worked. Did he actually leave?

I hear something, and then suddenly the door opens. I squeal, throwing the covers over my head so he can't see me. I hear the door close again, but I know he didn't leave.

The covers are then torn off me, and I see Sage standing beside the bed. "Sage? What are you doing here? I've been sleeping for the past hour" I say, faking a yawn as I sit up.

He rolls his eyes, walking over to the window and pulling open the curtains. I groan. "I don't know what the problem is".

"Sitting with your legs out of a high-up window isn't safe" He mumbles, looking down at the ground through the glass. "I'm not going to jump" I scoff.

He turns his head, shooting me a look.

"I would not fall, you idiot" I scowl.

"God, have a little faith in me" I mumble, and he stares at me for a few seconds before sighing. He closes the curtains. "Yes! I won!" I cheer, slightly in disbelief.

He rolls his eyes as he sits down beside me on my bed. I continue to joke around. "You got so scared of me. Your knees were practically trembling-"

He places a hand on my bare thigh, and my words get stuck in my throat as I stare at it.

He doesn't move it up towards my shorts- he doesn't do anything. He just keeps his hand there, and it's enough to shut me up.

I hesitantly look up from his hand and to his face. He's staring at me, a warning in his eyes. "Shutting up now" I mumble.

He trails his hand down until he removes it completely, and I'm finally able to breathe properly.

"Still won".

He moves suddenly, and I squeal as I dive off the bed, quickly scrambling to my feet. I back up into the corner, watching him nervously. "Too slow" I taunt, and he simply chuckles as he lies back on my bed, staring up at the ceiling.

Once I'm sure it's safe, I go back over, sitting beside him. I watch him as he stares a the ceiling, wondering what's so interesting about it.

"I enjoy your company," I tell him randomly, and he turns his attention to me, raising his eyebrows at me.

"You don't care when I go on my hour-long rambles and can never answer a question without telling you two stories and four memories," I say, making him chuckle.

"A lot of people hate the fact I talk too much. But you don't. So thank you" I mumble, suddenly feeling very insecure at my random confession.

My hand is suddenly grabbed, and Sage pulls it, causing me to fall onto his chest. I laugh while he wraps an arm around my shoulder, and kisses my forehead. My heart is pounding in my chest, not expecting Sage of all people to kiss my forehead so gently.

"You know the cut on my forehead?" I ask, and the sudden pissed look on Sage's face tells me he remembers its perfectly. "Diego said it's going to leave a cool scar. Do you think it will? Will I look badass now? Because Stacy has this scar across her face and she looks like a murderer. But I don't want to look like a murderer. Because no good murderer looks like a murderer. Gotta have stealth" I say, and a tiny smile forms on his lips.

I'm lying on my chest, on his chest, with my legs resting in between his. I sit up on my elbows and look at him. "I don't know why you don't talk more. You have a beautiful voice" I tell him, and he stares at me blankly.

I smile. "I'm serious. If you ever get tired of training people for a mafia, or your boss fires you for kissing one of your students, you could be a voice actor. Like the background person on those nature shows" I say, and he rolls his eyes

"It's not a stupid idea. You're stupid" I mumble, and he rolls his eyes, again.

"You know what, you're right dude," I say, earning myself a glare.

I smirk. "Crap,  sorry bro. Forgot you don't like being called dude, broski".

His glare only seems to worsen. "Man. Dog. Brother. Mate. Bestie-".

I gasp when I'm suddenly flipped over, and before I can register the fact that Sage is on top of me, he crashes his lips onto mine.

My eyes go wide, but I quickly wrap my arms around his neck and kiss him back.

Once he's done abusing my lips with his, he moves to my neck and begins kissing down my neck.

"Okay I take it back, you're not my friend" I laugh, and he stops. "You're my trainer-"

He sighs, rolling off me and collapsing hopelessly beside me. I laugh, before placing a kiss on his cheek.

"Don't be mad. You're my favourite trainer, don't worry" I assure him with a smile. He rolls his eyes and places his hand over my mouth.

I push his hand away, and lie down beside him, placing my head on his chest like a pillow. "I'm going to sleep now. Gotta get up at ten to seven in the morning and work my ass off while my trainer obsesses over me" I mumble tiredly, and Sage scoffs, making me grin. It's rather fun annoying him. Once you know he's not going to kill you, of course.

I feel him run his fingertips through my hair, and it only lulls me to sleep quicker. "Good night, Sage" Is the last thing I remember saying before I drift off into one of the best sleeps I've had in weeks.
