Morgan's POV

I open my eyes and am met with darkness. Looking around confused, I see the sky is now dark from Sage's windows.

Speaking of Sage...

I'm lying beside him, my head resting on his chest. I look up, surprised when I see his phone on his chest, while he's lying, with his eyes closed, asleep.

He's asleep.

I grin, sitting up more and watching him. Creepy, I know. But I can't help it. I've never seen Sage asleep before.

He told me he has bad insomnia. And he was not lying. Apparently he only gets four hours of sleep, if he's lucky. Thats-..horrible and unfair and unhealthy and I get worried. He always looks exhausted, and it's so relaxing seeing him sleep.

He's lying flat on his back, with his head facing to the side. His lips are slightly turned down into a small, little frown, which is adorable. His hair is sprawled out on his forehead, as well as the pillow beneath him. His breathing is slow, and he looks relaxed. And adorable but that's beside the point.

I hope he sleeps a bit extra tonight. To catch up on last night. I sigh, stretching out my hand and wiping his hair back out off his forehead. I smile at him, pulling my hand away. I would kiss his cheek, but I don't want to wake him up.

I glance at his phone. He must have fallen asleep while on it. I grab it, turning it on, and seeing it's nearly four am.

The consequences of going to sleep at five pm. But in my defense, I did suffer some severe blood loss.

My stomach growls loudly suddenly.

Shit, I'm hungry.

I'd sneak down to the kitchen if it wasn't for the fact I was by far the clumsiest person ever, who now has only one working hand. Give me a minute, tops, and I'd have everyone in this damn house awake.

I shiver at the thought of pissing that many people off.

Sage's face suddenly moves to the side, and I freeze, quickly laying back down so he doesn't find out I was staring at him like a weirdo. I lie with my back facing him so he can't see my eyes, because if I sense him staring at me I'll smile or laugh.

I lie there, silent and still as I wait to see if he wakes up.

In this quiet room, it's easy for me to notice his breathing has picked up rapidly, and I frown.

Is he having a nightmare?-

Sage suddenly gasps and shoots up.

I frown, concerned as I hear him hyperventilating, taking in as much air as he can.

I don't know what the fuck to do.

Do I let him know I'm awake and comfort him, or stay here and see if he falls back asleep?

I feel the bed dip, and I peek over my shoulder, watching as he goes over to his doors, and tries the handle.

It sounds to be locked, and Sage lets out a sigh of relief, leaning his forehead against the door.

He stays like that for a minute, and I go back to pretending to sleep, knowing he's bound to turn around any second.

A few seconds go by until I somehow feel him staring at me. It's silent, and then the bed dips behind me.

I can feel him close behind me on the bed, but my back is still facing him.

I then feel his hand run through my hair, and I keep my breathing normal as I try to figure out if I should hug him or not. Some people need space. Do I give him space? Do I hug him? Do I-
