⚠️Trigger Warning⚠️

Sage's POV

Morgan

I'm alive

Here's your proof

I stare at the picture of her.

The sea and the sand behind her, while her hair is tied back messily, and clearly wet. There are grains of sand on her face, but they're hard to notice since her smile mostly steals my attention.

She has such a beautiful smile, and a contiguous one too.

I sigh, gripping my phone tighter, glaring at the photo.

Sent two hours ago.

She should have been back by now. An hour ago to be exact.

If there was traffic, she would have texted me. She likes sending me little life updates randomly.

This isn't traffic, and the bad feeling I have isn't helping me think logically.

I try to call her again, for the fifth time, but like before, it doesn't even ring.

Fuck this, something is wrong.

Standing up, I grab my keys off my desk and walk to the door. I see Ezra walking towards my door, stopping when he sees me.

"There you are. We'll be late if we don't leave now" He says. "Can't" Is all I mutter as I walk past him. I don't care about explaining, and I certainly don't care about missing work. I'll apologize once I know Morgan's okay.

He calls out after me, but I ignore him, leaving through the side exit. I took one of my bikes today since I'm getting work done on my jeep after fucking Leo and Alex crashed it into a tree. But right now, I'm fucking grateful they did.

Getting on my bike, I'm speeding off in a matter of seconds, going miles above the speed limit but not caring one bit.

***

I stare at the slashed tires, the broken phones, the empty needles...

My fists bawl into fists as I glare at the ground, my jaw clenching as I try to think clearly.

I look around this little car park, trying to spot any security cameras, but of course, there are none.

I get back on my bike, and speeding off home.

***

I need to think logically, I tell myself as I get off my bike.

Treat it like any other job.

Fuck- But it's not 'any other job'. This is Morgan. And her annoying little friends, but they're not my main priority right now.

"Sage"

I blink, seeing I'm standing inside now. Shit, I'm zoning out already.

I look up, seeing Leo and Alex standing in front of me smiling.

"Now, you may be wondering, 'What are my amazing brothers doing here?' " Leo begins, and I glance behind him, at the hallway I need to be walking to.
