Morgan's POV
I smile, feeling the cold wind blow against my face and through my hair. I take a deep breath, completely relaxed.
That is until I feel two hands placed on either side of my hips.
I throw my elbow back, but it's caught before it makes contact with the person. There's only one person who has reflexes that fast...
I turn my head, seeing Sage staring at me amused. "You scared me" I huff, turning around to face him. "I could have killed you, you know. Have you seen my muscles?" I ask, raising my arm and flexing my biceps.
Sage chuckles, before kissing my forehead. I can't help but smile like a fool.
Sage then grabs my hand and starts walking, dragging me with him. Only he's walking away from the building and towards his car.
"Where are we going?" I ask, but he gives no answer as he continues his way to his jeep.
"I don't know where you're trying to bring me but I have training, remember?" I say, and he just shrugs. I scowl. "I don't care if you don't care. I care. I'm going to fall behind" I say as we reach his jeep.
He pulls me close suddenly and pins me between him and the jeep. "Relax" He whispers. "I'll give you a private lesson later".
I blush at the thought that comes into mind, and the small smirk on Sage's face tells me he's thinking them too. While I'm temporarily distracted, he opens the passenger door and shoves me inside.
"Wait-" He closes the car door before I can finish. I glare at him as he walks around to the other side, before getting in the driver's seat.
"Let me go. I refuse" I tell him, but he doesn't say or do anything other than start driving.
"I will jump out of this car" I warn him, and he glances at me, his eyebrows raised. "Okay, when you stop at a traffic light I'll jump out of the car" I correct, causing him to snicker.
"Where are we going?" I ask, but again, I'm met with silence. "Is it a long drive?" I ask, restoring to yes or no questions. Questions he doesn't have to verbally answer.
He shakes his head. "Good. You're giving me a headache with your endless talking" I groan dramatically, and he glares at me playfully.
"But seriously, you're quiet today. Everything okay?" I ask, and he hums, his eyes on the road. I sigh, deciding to drop it.
"Guess what?" I say, not giving him a chance to answer before I'm talking again. "So me and Luna were using the bench press. Then these two people came over and asked if we were nearly done. Nothing wrong with that. We said a few minutes. But instead of walking away for five minutes, they stayed, and stared at us the whole time!" I scowl, turning my body to face him a bit.
"Who does that? And it was so awkward and I swear I nearly died twice" I tell him, leaning back in my seat with a sigh.
"It's like using the swings when we were kids, and someone would ask for a turn. But instead of leaving they'd stand beside you and watch you intensely" I shiver at the memory. "I hated those people. So much" I mumble.
I glance at Sage, seeing his lips lifted into a small smile.
"Oh! I remember this one time we were at the playground and I was waiting for the swing. My dad was watching over my sister. I waited like..twenty minutes before I finally got the swing. And I swear, the second my ass hit the seat my sister decided she wanted the swing" I roll my eyes.
"I said yeah, just a minute because it was my turn. My dad forced me to give it to her because I 'already had a turn' apparently. Then thirty seconds later, she got bored and got off. I was about to finally have my turn but the Queen herself decided she wanted to go home, so that's what we did of course. I was so upset I didn't get a turn that I cried on the way home" I chuckle at the memory.
