Morgan's POV

I slowly open my eyes, before wincing from the pain I felt- well, everywhere.

I roll my head to the side, looking around, confused as to where I am.

I see an empty chair, and a small lamp turned that's placed on a table beside my bed- shit I'm in a hospital bed.

Remembering all the stuff that happened, I grin to myself.

They thought they could kidnap me. Ha! That's funny.

Sitting up, I groan from the ache in the side of my ribs. Danm, that guard really knows how to kick.

Slowly, I move my feet out of the bed and place them on the ground. Closing my eyes, I take a deep breath before standing up.

Not a good idea!

I get an intense wave of light-headedness before I can even stand up straight, and I'm falling in a matter of seconds.

Only I don't hit the ground.

Arms grab under my arms a few seconds before I hit the ground, and I'm pulled up to my feet. I'm hugged into a chest, and they hold me tight since I'll fall otherwise.

"You better be Sage..or else I'll have to kick your ass" I mumble, and a kiss is placed on my head. I smile, resting my head against his chest while I regain my balance.

I look up, seeing Sage staring at me already. "What were you doing?" He mumbles. "Falling for you?".

He rolls his eyes playfully, before helping me back into the bed. I sit at the edge, my feet dangling just above the floor.

"Lay it on me, Doc" I sigh. "Will I live?"

"The bullet just grazed the top of your shoulder. No harm done.  Both your index and middle metacarpal-.." I stare at him blankly while he stops. Then he grabs my left hand, the one without a weird cast on it, and traces a line from my index and middle knuckle, across the back of my hand and to my wrist. "These two bones here are broken," He says, and I nod, understanding.

"You're still missing a pinky I'm afraid," He tells me, and I chuckle, shrugging, which caused pain in my shoulder. "Your nose was broken, but that's been fixed. And you have some stitches on your cheekbone" He says, and I nod.

"I can still say I got shot though...cant I?" I mumble, and he smiles. "Yes". I grin.

"Can I stand up now?" I ask him, and he nods. Helping me up, and hovering his hands over my waist so I don't fall, I slowly walk out of the room.

"Where are we?" I ask as I walk down a random hallway. At the end of it, we come to a familiar kitchen. "My house" He mumbles, and I hum, looking around the empty house.

"You sure a dozen people live here?" I ask, and he chuckles. "Very".

Sage sits me down on a stool when we get into the kitchen, before going to grab me a glass of water. He places it on the counter in front of me, before handing me two tablets.

"Do I have-" "Yes Morgan, you have to?" He tells me, and I frown. "You're not going to choke," He says, and I roll my eyes. "You better hope I don't" I mutter, before taking the tablets.

"Sage!"

I flinch when I hear a scream, and I turn quickly to see a girl, who I think is Charlotte run into the kitchen. She stands behind Sage, pushing him in front of her as a shield.

I look at her confused, wondering why she's running, just as Clayton runs into the kitchen. I remember him and Alex bickering yesterday. I chuckle. That was funny.
